I am retired and live in Albany, Texas.|
I chose findagrave because it is free and I wanted it to be accessible to everyone.
The aim is to add all the graves in Shackelford County, in hope that it will help future generations in their search. I will transfer any memorial. Please feel free to use anything I post.
Thank You to the many people in Albany who have given me photo's and bio's of their love ones. (I know not everyone has computer abilities and I will help you out any time I can.)
A special thanks to Jo Ann Farmer for all the info she passed on. She saved many photos and articles through the years.

Thanks so much for transferring this memorial to me. I'll take good care of it.

Saundra, my family was among those that forted up at Fort Davis. I was able to tour the site in May. Your photographs are wonderful! I've read the Newcomb's diaries and accounts of others. My heart goes out to the families.
|Vicki Hittson||Thank you!|
Saundra, I was in Albany and the surrounding counties for a month this spring walking the land where my ancestors lived. Your contribution to Find A Grave is truly appreciated. I wish I could have met you and perhaps when I visit again, I would love to take you to lunch.

Thank you, Saundra, for the editing, and the linking of the Worlia and George Sazama memorials to other family member memorials. Best Wishes.

I just sent you some additional information on Bill.
Please correct and spelling of other errors.
The hand writing on some of these funeral records are tough to read.
Thanks so much for adding her maiden name. Your efforts are appreciated.

This memorial is for Ura Mae Wood in Moran Cemetery. I was wondering if you are related to this wood family. Elmer, Ura Mae and Wayne? If not, could you transfer it to me along with the other two.
Ura Mae was my mother's dearest friend in Hawley, TX when her son Wayne died suddenly. I have been trying to find someone from this family. I have photos of Elmer, Wayne, Ura and the other two boys from 1936. I have a precious letter written to my mother from her after Wayne died. I am trying to find a family member that would like to have these keepsakes. I also have the article from the paper about Wayne's death. It makes me cry to read the letter. Family should have it. Jody Dillard, Seymour, TX.
Thank you so much for the addition to his memorial. Your efforts are appreciated!

Thank you so much for the information you sent to me. It answered some questions that I had not been able to find the answer to.
Joe W. Tippit Sr.
Many thanks for all your trouble. Unfortunately, it is not the same family. I do appreciate your assistance.
