I love American history, I like dealing with names, and I love solving problems. It was just a matter of time before I got into genealogy! |
None of the memorials I have posted are my relatives, and hence I have not researched them. I do try to add some detail to memorials though in an effort to identify the person.
If you want to write me about any of the memorials I've created, please leave a message on this page. To suggest a correction or edition for a particular memorial, please use the Edit button at the top of its page.
If I have posted a memorial of one of your relatives and you would like the memorial transferred to you, please use the method that FindaGrave has provided, which is thus: Go to the memorial page and click the Edit button. Of the choices that follow, click on "Suggest any other correction or addition." This will bring up a message box for you to write me, and the email FindaGrave sends will include a link to the memorial as well as to your profile page. Simply write me a note requesting the transfer, and tell me how you are related to the person.
If there is an article that I have posted that you can use, feel free to copy it. All articles are in the public domain, that is, not copyrighted anymore, so you do not need my permission to use them. You'll find the source of the articles in the picture's caption.
Last, any gravestone pictures I shot myself as well as I could. Please copy and use them! Post them in your family tree on Ancestry or wherever. That's why I took them.
FindaGrave is a great website even though it's basically all about deaths! Still, it makes me think of the verse "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (I John 5:11)

Thanks for the offer to transfer Mary's memorial to me but that's not necessary as I don't have her husbands memorial either. I do appreciate the thought though.
|Bob McMurray||Elizabeth Wollner Bushnell at Park Cemetery?|
I'm interested in the work you've done at Park Cemetery in Marquette, Michigan. You have done a great job documenting the Wollner family monuments and plots. I am interested in their daughter Elizabeth Wollner Bushnell and particularly her husband Corsan/Carson D Bushnell. Of the 2, Elizabeth died first, in 1936, and her death certificate says she is buried in "Marquette, Michigan". I'm thinking it possible, even likely, that Elizabeth is buried in or near the Wollner family plot under the name of Elizabeth Bushnell (13 JUL 1867 - 15 SEP 1936). Corsan/Carson dies in 1946 in Grosse Pointe, Wayne, Michigan.
I'm primarily interested in determining and documenting the burial location of Corsan/Carson and think the location of his wife's burial may be a clue or hook to that information. If your research travels ever bring you back to Park Cemetery I was wondering if you could check the Wollner area for the gravestones of Elizabeth and Corsan/Carson Bushnell. If you were to find them photos would be fantastic. Much thanks, Bob

You are welcome. In the last 2 weeks ive gotten 5700 pictures from Holy Cross and 6200 from Park. There is still a long ways to go. I will post that picture for you too as well.

I appreciate your input and your efforts. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
|Julia Cruz||RE: Joseph B. Whitehead|
Thank you for the edits. I am not related either. I came across the information while researching the grave of his brother in El Paso. You know how it is when you get into a genealogy puzzle!
|Robin Maloney||RE: Jacob & Polly Tirrell|
Hi Julia, I looked for a relationship with these Tirrells but have not found one as of yet. I will manage them if you would like. Of course if I find anything then I will post the information. Best regards, Robin
|Lloyd Williams||RE: Fred W. Hawkins|
Hi Julia Thank you very much for adding there son to his memorial. Have a great weekend--Lloyd
|Steve Franklin||RE: Sanaz Nezami|
Thank you for this information. You are correct about the snow since it appears to be a flat grave marker. Have a nice day! Steve
|kay stafford||RE: two Stubbs memorials|
thanks for being so understanding. This whole thing is full of duplicate upon duplicates. The strange thing is these folks are hardly kin to me. For a cemetery with so few listings, there were way to many errors. Most folks are responding but not as quickly as you. Hopefully I'll hear from everyone and we'll wind up with a list of memorials as accurate as possible a century and more later. Kay
|Mary Garrison||RE: William Albert and Esther Catherine Given|
You know I am very confused about it as well. I thought they were buried as well in the Ford City cemetery. The death certificates definitely say Manor Cemetery. So I emailed The Appleby Manor folks and got this reply:
I do not have a William Albert listed and the only Given listed is Anna & Robert maybe you mean the cemetery above us if so you need to contact Dean McKee at 724 664 4000 if you need anything else please email us back Merry Christmas!
So I am lost. We should probably just leave it be. I just wonder where the picture was taken. :) These illusive relatives can be a challenge.
Have a great week!
