I began researching my family history in 2002 more from "curiosity" than hobby. Genealogy has since become a most treasured pastime. I have documented my Fuller line back to the mid-1700s -and continuing my quest. My love for cemeteries came shortly after discovering a more than 125+ year old - practically abandoned - cemetery in Russell Co., Alabama where my great-grandparents are buried. Born in 1960 - I never knew them (they died in 1934 and 1936 respectively). Further research proved more than 50 related descendants in the same cemetery - and suddenly I was hooked! I enjoy researching, documenting, photographing and logging family descendants - at the same time; helping others who are searching for their ancestors final resting place in the city I live. A posting on a message board might catch my eye and I offer to assist if I can. I also love to log and post photographs of non-related grave markers/stones in hopes my contributions may one day help others find their long-lost descendants....If your need is in the Atlanta area, feel free to reach out to me.......JF

Julia Joyce Cain in Evans cemetery
I can't thank you enough for putting up this photo of my older sister who died at 3 hours old. Several years ago I paid to have this marker put there in the Evans cemetery, but I have never been able to get back to Phenix City to see it. I am so happy to see it and appreciate your service to me especially and my family. Julia was the daughter of my mother Lila Maye Allison and her first husband John Thomas Cain.
She was later married to my father Ralph E Adams, and had 3 more children.
May I ask your permission to use the photo to attach to her personal details on familysearch?
Thanks again,
Pat Adams Lowe

RE: Douglas N Abercrombie
Unfortunately, I did not know the individual. I try to add obituaries to the memorials I have added. I am sorry that I do not have contact information.

Any information is appreciated, as everyone's story needs telling. People should not be forgotten.

Jack Dudley
Hey Jon,

Our family has been looking for a very long lost family member (my paternal Grandad) by the name of Jack E Dudley. Thru our search we have stumbled upon this site and was wondering if he may be one in the same. Much of the info on him matches his from what we have.

I was hoping you might have a picture of him so we might be able to compare.

Here is to hoping we can put a long lost mystery to rest....

Thank you,

Wendy Dudley Johnson

Magnolia cemetery
you made a photo of Magnolia in 2005....

I was out yesterday in search of my great grandfather's grave

no luck

after looking at your photos... the markers at the road (which have all been turned over and are no longer standing) it appears the one of the far right could be his...

could you please send it to my email address so that I might view it better.

Thanks

Concord Cemetery
Looks like the cemetery merge has taken place, and I submitted 20+ dupe merges to be done on the memorials.

http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GRid=17315966&CRid=33374&

The combined cemetery is now Concord Cemetery AKA Old Concord Cemetery.

Please review the listings and if you see anything else that needs correcting let me know. Please also check your edits tab, there are a few corrections on dates submitted there for you.

thanks for your help,
Karyn
