Bio and Links
Bio Photo One of the best features of Find A Grave is that it provides a forum where years of genealogical research can be shared with others. Please let me know if you have additional biographical or statistical information for any of my memorials, as it is always welcome. The wealth of knowledge that others have sent to me through Find A Grave is astounding.

If you are aware of links for parents and/or spouses that I have not yet added, I would appreciate it if you would use the edit tab to leave the name and memorial number of the person or people who should be linked.

Thanks to all those who have generously shared your family stories and beautiful photos with me. I sincerely appreciate being allowed to add them to the memorials for your loved ones. The pictures and studio portraits that for years have been carefully preserved in family photo albums, add such a wonderful dimension to Find A Grave. They help create a memorial tribute that is all the more special and meaningful.

Before asking for a memorial transfer, please determine whether or not this is really necessary. Transfers of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections even if you are not the memorial manager. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a transfer request. It would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire family trees.

Transfers will only be considered if they comply strictly with Find A Grave guidelines. You must state your exact relationship to the deceased. People who request transfers and then fail to improve and maintain the memorial are certainly not honoring the memory of their family member.

Bulk surname transfers will not be considered under any circumstances.

Unless otherwise noted, all bios on my memorials were researched and written by me. Post-1922 verbatim obituaries have not been included in order to avoid copyright violations.

I have put a lot of time and effort into my memorials on Find A Grave. I strive to make sure that the information on them is as accurate as possible, but I am realistic and know that mistakes do happen. Please use the edit tab to leave a message regarding any errors or omissions that need to be corrected.

By working together, we can continue to build Find A Grave into a better and better site!

Note: 30 Sep 2013 marked a very sad day for all Find A Grave contributors when the founder of this website sold us out to ancestry.com.

I will continue to add to and maintain my memorials as long as Find A Grave remains a completely free website, open to all without charge.

Adding graves of still living people
Hi Lynn,

Thanks for your recent help! Tomorrow I plan on visiting Jefferson Barracks where my sister is buried to take a picture of her grave. I now manage her page here on Find A Grave. My parents will be buried with her when they pass. Is it kosher to create a page for a still living relative? I probably wouldn't upload their grave marker yet, since a death date obviously hasn't been chiseled but it would allow me to link to Jennifer and my grandparents, and already have control of their pages. What do you think?

RE: Millie Berger
Thank you so much, Lynn. Since this is my first memorial page, I'm learning the ropes. I've just added my maternal grandparents and requested a transfer for my younger sister who passed as a baby. This coming week, I've got time off of work, so I'm going to go visit some cemeteries and take picture of their graves.

All the best!

RE: Millie Berger
Thank you so much! I've only used FindaGrave for research up until now, but I've just been transferred Walter Berger's grave so I am working on fixing it up now. All the best!

Iam trying to find a picture of Julias husband Ralph Douglas. He was the mayor of East Alton 1907-1909 1913-1915. city of East Alton wants a picture to hang in city hall and iam also doing a history book on East Alton. Money made from book goes to East Alton museum. My email is jbricker2012@gmail.com
