Have been researching my family history for the last 36 years. I'm a proud native Texan and have a ton of roots in the Lone Start state.|
I have documented over 37,000 ancestors and descendants in compiling my family genealogy. Have researched and found ancestors who served during in the French and Indian Wars, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican American War, Civil War, World War I/II, Vietnam, and even have two great-great grandfathers who served as Frontier Battalion Texas Rangers in the 1880s.
I also teach genealogy classes at a local college, lecture at various local civic groups and schools, and write a syndicated genealogy newspaper column. I research cemeteries and fill photo request here on FAG from within the Tri-State area (northern Georgia, western North Carolina, and eastern Tennessee). I also specialize in estate / probate genealogy research to assist law firms in locating the heirs of deceased individuals for local probate courts.
I retired from the U.S. Navy in 1993 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer after 23 years active duty service in the surface and aviation communities. So I have a keen interest in documenting military services veterans and their final resting places.
Some of my primary paternal lines (first seven generations) of interest include: Boswell, Clark, Mullin, Gilmer, Hurt, Hutchinson, Lange, Law, Leinweber, Magee, Mallory, Meek, Neese, Oglesby, Parry, Redus, Schmidt, Schneider, Schostag, Sheffield, Simmonds, Streuer, Van Horn, Wilson, Witt
Some of my primary maternal lines (first seven generations): Burns, Carr, Faulk, Grohman, Leitsch, Ludwig, Munster, Schmidt, Smith, Winkler
If I have a memorial posted for one of your ancestors (not distant cousins, etc) and they are not any of my ancestors, I'm more than happy to transfer management of their FAG memorial to you. Just contact me or email me directly at the address below.
You can see more about my research on my family blog at http://larry-family-history.blogspot.com/.

|Wilson McElveen||Tigue Moore|
Thanks for all of the info. on Tigue posted to this site. My mother , daughter of Elias Richard Moore, Jr., and Tigue were first cousins. Interesting that only 3 of the first cousins are still living -Jennie - from the oldest sibling and my mother and her brother from the youngest sibling. I noted that you are a big genealogist - I am a part time amateur - would love if you have any info. on the descendants of Tigue, Lias and Stephen who all migrated to Louisiana, correct? My mother remembers Steve and Lias staying with her parents when they lived in Miami during the 1930's.

|T & C||Ware Oglesby, Find A Grave Memorial# 96842810|
Hello Larry, Do you know the source of the birth and death dates of Ware Oglesby in Find A Grave Memorial # 96842810? DAR records show him as born in 1768, which would make him age 12 - 13 during the years he is said to have served, 1780 and 1781. Since there is a precise day, month, and year, it doesn't look like it came from a guess, so maybe there's a Bible record or something that gives the dates? Thanks

Hi Larry, Per your request I've added Katherine Leinweber's middle and maiden names to her memorial. I will gladly transfer her memorial to you if you like, use the transfer tab. I helped with a project to photo all headstones in Garden of Memories and create memorials for those that did not have one on Find a Grave. Think it is great when a relative wants to maintain a memorial I've created. Maggie

|Timothy DeBoor||John Redus Find A Grave Memorial# 15339860|
You posted a picture of John Redus on Find A Grave Memorial# 15339860. John Redus is a 1st Cousin several times removed. I am related through my maternal 3rd Great Grandmother Luvica Redus. I have seen this picture on Ancestry stating that it was found on your family blog, which I enjoy reading very much, but nothing to indicate that you had given permission to use it. I have no problem sharing family photos, but some people are touchy so I always ask permission before I use someone else's material. So, if you have no objection I would like to use this picture in my public tree on Ancestry.com. Thanks
Thank you for the info.
I have added it to his bio.
Thank you for your service in the Navy.

I take pics at the cemeteries in
and around Nueces County.
As for Seaside, I will be more than happy
to take photos of graves for you
But they only allow to get three locations
at one time, and since I live across town
I'm asking to call the cemetery and get locations
as I have maps of all the sections, so I can
take more than 3 photos at one time
