Creator of website www.ezraeby.com a website dedicated to updating and correcting the work of Ezra E. Eby who published "A Biographical History of Waterloo Township" (Ontario, Canada) in 1895-1896.
In addition to Mennonite and other pioneer families in the Waterloo area, the website will now also feature Mennonites from York and Lincoln Counties (Ontario, Canada), as well as Amish and Amish background families from Waterloo, Oxford and Perth Counties in Ontario and beyond.
"Findagrave is one of my favouretist websites in THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD"!
With that said, there are a number of things that just downright annoy me.
For the most part, I work together with other gravers who create quality pages.
What is a quality page?
The ideal page has all, or most, of the fields complete.
Above all it has, in most cases, a photo of the gravestone - or a photo request submitted.
Here are some things that irk me.
1. Individuals who add no or very few gravestone photos.
2. Those who ask me to link to pages with no documentation a person is
actually interred there. I will ignore these requests.
3. Gravers who request transfers outside of Findagrave guidelines. I gladly
make exceptions for a few of my findagrave friends who have clearly
demonstated they will add in a significant way to what I have done.
I am unimpressed by those who accumulate HUGE numbers of pages they
did not create themselves - just because they are "related".
4. Gravers who add photos which cannot be read.
C'mon folks! Let's do it right, or not at all.

Alan: I have left a picture of Reuben Urben Winger on the site for his stone. I notice that you have been able to include he and three siblings. I would like to have his other three siblings listed as well but am quite unsure how to do that. Peter & Sarah were my great grand parents through their daughter Minnie Ida (their first child) The three are as follows:
Minnie Ida (Winger) Dearborn b.12 March 1872, d.4 June 1898 (in Toronto but buried in Springvale) You have a stone there with Everett Dearborn's name on it and "Minnie" is carved into the top edge but is difficult to read.
Alexander Winger b. 11 March 1874, d.1 February 1944 (buried in Hagersville Cem.)
Roy Dufferin Winger b.21 June 1877 d.11 January 1962 (also bur in Hagersville Cem)
As an aside, Peter W. Winger was married 3 times. There are stones in Springvale for only the first two, Sarah Ann Wiedrick and Sarah Jane Jeffries. The third succeded him and was buried with her first husband at Hartford Cem.
If you come across any Wingers that give you a problem sorting out, please don't hesitate to contact me any time. If you wish I would be happy to make my data base available to you through Ancestry. Just let me know and I can add your e-mail to be able to interrogate and edit the "Haldimand Families" file.

Thanks so much for all of your work! It is sincerely appreciated!

I got this:
"Supplement to Ezra Eby's Biographical History of the early settlers and their descendants in Waterloo County - May 1931. Published by Joseph B. Snyder
|Drew McKerlie||Purdy's Cemetery|
Hey, added the images you had requested for Purdy's. They are actually cousins of mine as well but the app had a bug where it tagged the gps of where I uploaded the pictures and not from the actual cemetery if you could remove the gps I will update it when I visit next in July.

I put it in. Many thanks!

Maybe that you do not know of a recent change in
Find a Grave memorials.
You should go to your
Contributor Tools page. In the top right hand corner are some tabs. Click on the one marked
Edits. It will contain edits that people have
sent you to update a certain memorial. (the number shown under the word edits is the number
of edits sent to you).
The info will be from research that they have done on that certain person.
You just have to click at the bottom of the page. The system will automatically update the memorial.
They updates can be links to family, more complete dates, locations, names, etc.
Found it! Thanks, Allan.

John Thomas Leader married Eliza Jane Seamans, who just happens to be a direct Mayflower descendent, through her mother Mary Ann Carder.
Your web site comes up "does not match any documents"
I googled your name and say you were running for office as a Libertarian, you have a genealogical site containing some 215,000 names, but your site will not come up at the address you sent me.

How am I related to the Gofton family? Well, my 2nd Great Aunt. Lucy Ann Leader, was married to Roger Gofton. She was the mother of 4 of his children: Rhoda, Charlotte, Nancy and Lucy.
Lucy Ann was the sister of my 2nd Great Grandfather, John Thomas Leader, who is buried at Washington Cemetery, with his father, John Leader, and sister Martha Elizabeth Leader.
The Leader kids also married into the Colborn, Gooch, Wallace and Cole families.
The Gofton family nicely sent me 79 pages of family records.
