I was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Grove City, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Grove City High School in 1973. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977. I moved to Alabama in 1979. I have been doing genealogy for over 30 years with most of my ancestors located in western Pennsylvania and eastern Iowa. I currently have around 17537 people on my Ancestry.com family tree and continue to add photos and obituaries as I find them. I am descended from William Perry Ray Senior of Ireland & Butler County, Pennsylvania, Henry Eppinger of Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County and William Rodgers in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, William Nelson of Ireland & Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, and Michael R. Uber Senior in Mercer County, Pennsylvania; August Mechler of Germany & Oxford, Johnson County, Iowa, Thomas McCammon of Massachusetts and Johnson County, Iowa, and Daniel Harrold of Blair County, Pennsylvania and Oxford, Johnson County, Iowa. I spent many weekends as a child at my great grandmother Nelson's farm on the Mercer Butler Pike between London and Amsterdam outside Grove City, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.|
