Lydia Histed Heath 59180484
Hi Pedro - I have entered an edit for Lydia's date of death, which was in 1901, as per her obituary & our family Bible.
The Davis City Advance, Davis City, Iowa Thursday, March 2l, l90l obituary of Lydia Heath:
Mrs. Lydia Heath, mother of Mrs. Frank Bullock, who formerly lived in this City, died on the l8th inst. at the home of her daughter in St. Joseph, Mo., and was buried in the Oakland [sic] Cemetery on the l9th.
Mrs. Heath's former home was Davis City, and she was known and loved by a large circle of friends who will regret to learn that she has passed away, and extend sympathy to Mrs. Bullock in her bereavement.

Yes, Arthur definitely married twice since his first wife Ella died in 1934 and his children Walter and Grace were born after that. Two of his daughters by Ella also died in 1934 - by drowning.
I'm not related, but I photographed a lot of the headstones at the cemetery where they are buried. I found most of my information in the Aldershot Tweedsmuir History, Volume 1 which is a scrapbook done by the local Women's Institute sometime in the 1970s. There it gives the name of Arthur's second wife as Agnes Gridden but I'm not sure about the reliability of the spelling as I've found other names spelled incorrectly there. So it could very well be Griffin as you suggested.
Link to the Tweedsmuir History is as follows
Thanks for the tip on the Fillman website. I'm looking at it right now and will have fun comparing to what I already have. Are you familiar with the circumstances of Grace's death? Rather tragic and it made news around the world.

Thanks for all your edits on the Arthur Filman family at East Plains United. I've approved them all. As you've added Arthur Russell Filman as the father of Walter and Grace, I wonder - do you know who their mother was? Also, I would be curious to know what your source is for Walter and Grace's birth and death dates, as well as the death date for Lawrence. I purposely put only the year for Grace's death given the circumstances of her death and not knowing exactly when she died.

He was the grandson of Clarence D Lawhon and Deliska Knowles Lawhon. They raised him. Would it be possible for you to confirm that he is buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery? I got that information from the "U.S. Veterans Gravesites" page. Thank you. Wanda

William Sanford Lewis is the son of Ephraim E. Lewis and Anna Elizabeth (Short) Lewis. I cannot locate the final resting place of either at this time.
Please consider adding in the bio the name of 1 sibling: Anna May (Lewis) Walker Turner Schoen memorial #34932864.
Thank you for your contributions.

I have a ton of info on this family and back his wife's line. If you are interested, please write and some of you all I've checked in with can connect them all on Find A Grave. I am only a DISTANT relation down from the OLIN family of Canton, NY so not even close.
Just got caught out looking at collateral lines and have gotten carried away :-)

Thank you for your quick reply. It did help but now am wondering if you would possibly have the informant information that is on the death certificate? Also maybe if he was married or divorced. Now that you confirmed the death year for me I am now wondering if he and his wife, Alma Alice Yingst were divorced and he had a second wife. He and Alice had 4 children...3 were surviving in 1900. Their names were Claude Shepherd, Charles "Charley" C Shepherd and Eunice Irene Shepherd. Maybe one of his children signed as the informant.
Thank you again for your help.
|Rob||wife of Glenn Criswell|
I was wondering if you know or how I can find out if Glenn Criswell's wife Gertrude is buried with him at Ashland Cementery? I do not have much info on him at all. I believe she was born in 1905. I do not have a maiden name or date of death. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
