|Bio and Links|
I was born in Saltillo, Texas and raised in Texas but moved to CA over 40 years ago. My great grandfather was John Arthur 3rd and my grandfather was Henry Dow Arthur. My hobbies include jewelry making, various crafts, writing, and Genealogy.(Genealogy is not really a hobby but a lifelong experience) |
My family is buried in the Old Saltillo Cemetery. They are the: Arthur,Corn,Caudle,Griffith,Agee,Brem,Wilson, Brown, Pheister,Jones, Hamilton,Hildreth, Goswick,Loving,Conley, Mann, and that's just some of my immediate family. My mother, Christine Arthur Corn, always said, "Everyone in that cemetery is related somehow".
The cemeteries I keep a listing for are:
Old Saltillo Cemetery ,Saltillo, Hopkins County, TX and Arthur Family Cemetery, Naff Valley, Franklin County VA.
If you have Bio's for any of the people I have listed in the Old Saltillo Cemetery or the Arthur Family Cemetery please let me know. I would love to see Bio's on all the people in every cemetery because their lives were all important. If you have pictures of the person please feel free to post them. YOU ARE WELCOME TO COPY OR USE ANY PHOTO'S I HAVE POSTED ON FINDAGRAVE.
I prefer you don't put Death Certificates on the loved ones that I have created because that isn't about their life, it's about their death, and most families would like to have only good things said about their family.
For those who wish to send donations for the Old Saltillo Cemetery I have the information posted below:

Can you tell me where you came across his full name?
|Mary Ann Weshinskey||John Elbert Agee 22844601|
Thanks so much for letting me know that John needed to be linked to his parents. I also linked his parents together too. I do not know why I didn't do this when I created their memorials, only that perhaps I was tired and just did not think of it. I do apologize for taking care of your request.

Wanda, I hope I answered this. He is actually buried in both. Part is there and part here. I think this was his request. Leonard

Thank you for the info for Elizabeth Agnes (Taylor) Smiley in Bernie Memroial Cemetery. It has been updated.

I read your family names with interest. They are not buried in Texas but I'm guessing that Miller should be in that list also, though most of them are buried in Indiana and Oklahoma.
|nora barton-carver||simpsons etc.|
hi, just wanted to let you know i have successfully transferred all the Simpsons listed over to the spurgeon cemetery. i have tried to be as accurate as possible, i found several duplicates once they were in the right cemetery so i deleted those and added the original memorial links to those who had been attached to duplicates but were not listed themselves. all familial links were based on notations by the historical society volunteers that originally transcribed the stones so please let me know if any links are incorrect and i will fix them asap, i have no direct knowledge of this family, the Simpson link for me is by marriage and several generations back. thanks again for letting me know about the stones being moved, i would have never realized they were in the wrong location as i do not live nearby and can only validate their final resting place by requesting pictures. also if you happen to know the new name of the Simpson cemetery i would be glad to submit it for editing as i have a feeling the 5 memorials i have left for other families from the transcription list need to be placed elsewhere so they can be located by family members since the cemetery name has changed, they may not be able to find them through a conventional search.
