.....or that's the way I look at what we all do here, at least. And while all of us are not professional genealogists, we're all here to document history, for ourselves and others....

That said, accuracy is of the utmost importance here, in my opinion.

Hugh Smith, d. Sept. 13, 1859
You have a listing for Hugh Smith, who died on Sept. 13, 1859 of alcohol poisoning. I have learned that he was a lawyer, and was born on August 13, 1820.
Do you have any information beyond that?

Thank you.

John Fayette #62630032
I have just run across your entry on John Fayette and his parents. I am very curious if you have documentation for his New Orleans birth, and origins of his parents. That fits with the family oral tradition of his origin, but in the 1900 census he cites California as his place of birth. My wife is a Great Granddaughter of John and Carlotta. I have some other information that supports the California origin, and would like to communicate more with you about it.

RE: ELIzabeth Mullendore obit
Do either of those services have newspapers from Green Co Kentucky or the Edgar Co (Danville or Paris IL) Illinois area? I have been looking for a good newspaper service to join but they never have my area of the country!
I think we have it covered there in Johnson Co INd. Several are working on it. Thanks!

RE: ELIzabeth Mullendore obit
No, not related - we are just going thru the Franklin newspapers and putting up obits for people. Thank you for posting it! Many of them are not getting posted by owners who are inactive or don't care. So I appreciate it.
