Bio Photo Hi!
I thoroughly enjoy looking through cemeteries. I just hate it when graves are vandalized and graveyards are not kept up. So much history lost!
I enjoy finding pictures of the headstones for the ones that do not have pictures in hopes that I may help someone else out on their journey in genealogy.
I try to be as correct as possible about any information or photos that I post but mistakes do happen. If you find one, please let me know either by e-mail or public message, and I will correct it ASAP.
Other than genealogy, I enjoy riding my bike, movies, baking, sleeping, and spending time with my hubby, friends, and critters.
So...happy trails...and I hope you all find who you are looking for!

Thank you Christin for the great photos for both Jacob and Anna Buckley. Your time and efforts are very much appreciated.
I would also like to know if I could use your photos in my tree on Ancestry.

RE: Clarence Duvall
Hi-Thank you so much for the transfer. If you are in the area of the library that would be great, but don't make a special trip. I found her information on death certificate and the census. Maiden name was Wilson and you linked the parents perfectly. She did marry Charlie m Elrod, I just have to find him now, LOL! Thank you again, Cat

RE: Clarence Duvall
Here's what I found: I thought I had sent it to you but maybe I just saved to the computer...

Clarence Devall age 22 b.1887, Annie B.(Bessie), and son Rufus Claude Devall. Clarence and Bessie had been married for 4 years in 1910.

Then in 1920 Charlie M Elrod who was 52, Bessie 29, Tom F., Herbert, Gertrude, Rufus, Clarence, Hazel and William. All were listed as Elrod.

In 1930, the rest of the children are called Elrod but Rufus has started using the name Duval, Devall. I am not sure where this name variation came from but members of the same family I have found both. Many, many, many thank yous for posting this family. Cat

RE: Clarence Duvall
Would you be able to post Bessie's obit? Where do you find the obituaries? I had to join a newspaper club and pay for each obit I asked to see. That would be a great resource. Any articles from the 1930's? Cat

RE: Clarence Duvall
There is also a Raymond C. Duvall in that same cemetery and I am wondering if he would be the Clarence she had married first. I looked through ancestry but no luck with info there. Not going to guess so it will have to wait. I have seen where dates are off sometimes, especially if someone marks them at a later date and there is a 20 year difference between her and her son's death. Clarence Duvall Elrod is her son and you are correct Bessie's maiden was Wilson and her married names were Duvall (Devall) and then Elrod. I sent more info with census transcriptions you will probably get that message next. Thank you so much for all your work in South Carolina, what a treasure to find some of my family members! Thank you, Cat
