We both have been working on genealogy since the mid 1990's. James is researching the Hardy, Twiner, Houston, Knight, Malone, Turner, Gardner families of AL and MS and Linda is researching the Vines, Dale, Wood, Herman, Salter, Short families of AL.|
We have inventoried and photographed many cemeteries in west Jefferson Co., AL, and Walker Co., AL, as well as contributing to many other cemeteries in MS.
Many thanks to all of our friends and fellow researchers, who are too numerous to name. Without their cooperation and assistance, we could not have accomplished all that we have been able to do.
You are welcome to use any photo that is posted, but we do ask that you give credit for the photo.
We will gladly transfer management of a memorial to a family member, if asked.

|Karen Robbins Pierce||Transfer|
Would you mind transferring #53644683 to me? Betty Robbins was my mother. Thanks so much.
|Barry Hood||RE: T. Kenneth Dale|
This is Barry Hood.
I have transferred this memorial to you for
your convenience. I took the photo and added his
memorial while at the cemetery on one of my visits there. Since I just added it and did not
know him, I want you to have the ownership of his memorial. I did this for you tonight.
If I can assist you again, please let me know.
Sent you an email. Thanks.

In case you were wondering, the source on those edits I have put in (mainly plot numbers) -- is the book "Our People And Where They Rest: A Visit to 104 Old Cemeteries in Eastern Oklahoma," James W. Tyner, Maxine Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons, American Indian Institute, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. 1970-1985, (Library of Congress No. QE99-C5-T97) There wasn't a place for me to put that in the edit form.
Thanks for all your help! Best wishes.

|Helen Pennington||Hannah Mary Dobbing Wood|
My name is Helen Pennington. Hannah Mary Dobbing Wood was my paternal great great grandmother. I was so happy to see that you have posted a picture of her.Two years ago my husband and I went "grave hunting" and found her tombstone in Walker county,Alabama along with several other of the Wood family. How are you kin to her?Her daughter,Elizabeth Jane was my great grandmother and she was married to Larkin Coker. Their daughter was Bessie Coker ,who was married to my grandfather,Ward Puckett.

Thanks for the prompt reply, nonetheless. Thanks so much!
|James Davis||James Monroe Gurganus|
I'm the great-grandson of James Monroe Gurgaus and Matilda Ann Earnest (Ernest?), but I don't know anything about Grace -- including when they married.
Do you have any further information about her?
James and Tilda's daughter, Margaret Belle, married John Davis in 1921, and their son, Johnnie James, came along on 1924. John died in 1928, and "Mama Belle" remarried James Arthur Fondren.
I'm Johnnie's son by his marriage to Doris Belle Blaydoe. They were married July 18, 1948. She died of cancer January 12, 1967. He remarried to Geraldine Shedlusky Krause on December 10, 1970.
He passed away December 9, 1989.
I would appreciate anything else you might know about the Gurganus family.

Instead of making a new memorial for your relationship links, you should SAC the original memorial maker to do the links. If no reply in 30 days, you then send your copy of the SAC to Edit at Findagrave.com to do it for you.
One memorial for one grave. The guidelines for making a memorial are listed on the left of any memorial under "help with Find A Grave". These may help you in your decisions. Please review them when you have the time.
You posted your grave photo on both the original and the duplicate memorial.
Using the SAC from yesterday, I have requested Edit to merge your duplicate with the original memorial saving the relationship links on your duplicate. So that should resolve the problem of your duplicate for you. Thanks.
