My rant on the bullies out there...
Most of us are just minding our own business and trying our best to pay it forward, but sometimes we run into those persnickety contributors suffering from delusions of grandeur, who deem themselves this site's policing agents by attacking without provocation. They list no email and disable their profile messages, allowing their "demands" to go unchallenged, so they can proceed to their next unsuspecting victim. That's probably for the best, since personally addressing them or their petty issues would prove to be counter productive. However, here are a couple of things they may want to consider:
First...lighten up and chill. We're not impressed by the "number" of memorials you create but fail to maintain. Anyone can plug-in bare bones information and create a memorial that's of no use to anyone. We're the community's contributors working daily behind the scenes adding thousands of content edits (that aren't counted), providing context to the sloppy memorials you rushed through in order to create your next one. Who cares that you placed "Bob Smith" in a particular cemetery when you fail to provide pertinent details (available to you at the time) that will help "Bob's" family members find him.
Second...perhaps you should strive for quality over quantity when creating memorials and/or adding headstone photos that increase you total "numbers" but are blurry or illegible.
Third...perhaps your time and energy would be better spent tending to the log in your own eye instead of the splinter in others. Critique your own memorials and make sure you're in compliance with "the rules" before you demand that others do the same.

You are right. My memory is bad and I do have them on Ancestry. Can't remember when I found them but I copied them from maybe the Shafer book and posted them.
Sorry to have bothered you needlessly.
I am unable to copy your photos of the Shafer brothers and sisters. Have you posted them to Ancestry where I can copy them?

You're very welcome. I just told "the other guy" lol that tomorrow I will call Valley and again to White chapel and get a positive location and section number. I'll let you know what I find. This sure is a mystery!
|Leonardo Flores||Hazen & Joyce Kelley|
Hello yes! I'm "The Other Guy"!
I received the info of his burial from Ancestry. I have the screenshot somewhere in my records. Essentially it was a Vet burial listing that put him in White Chapel. Unfortunately I had a hunch that the record was wrong since nobody could find the grave at White Chapel. I had nothing else to work off but I figured he was buried with his wife and maybe somebody could locate her grave as well so I sent some requests out for her grave which still came up short. So either the cemetery was wrong or something else.
Wherever I found his obit it wasn't complete, so thank you. I updated with the extra info you provided.
Thank you for the info, I made the changes as requested and updated his obit. Its been a mystery for me where he and his wife was buried for more than a few years now.
Thank you again,

I see now what happened. Hazen and Joyce's memorials are done by 2 different people. I sent Hazens' to the guy who has that memorial to show where Hazen is buried. You have Joyce's obit on her page which says she will be laid to rest next to her husband. I'm wondering why he cut part of the obit off and placed him in White Chapel. That's really wierd! Well here's Hazens obit:
Hazen M. Kelley, 75, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.,died May 17 at home.

Survivors: His wife, Joyce; a daughter, Susan Campbell of Sandstone, W.Va.; a son, Hazen P. of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Joanne Cramer of Skaneateles; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Contributions: Tri-County Skaneateles Lake Pure Water Association, Box 182, Skaneateles 13152.

So it was the other guy that made the mistake, you were just putting her with her husband.
I saw on your bio about people saying things and then cutting off all contact so you can't send back a response. Here's a work around:
Go onto their page, pick out ANY memorial that they own. Then push edit and write your note there. They will get it..lol.
Thanks and have a great night and sorry for the confusion!
|Cathy Alton||RE: Wrong cemetery....(?)|
Hi, Could you please tell me the name of the person? LOL, I remember it was a woman in White Chapel. I sent you the obit. She's in Onondaga Valley. If you send me her name, I'll resend you the obit. I asked the gentleman that has all the records and he also said that she wasn't in White Chapel. Thanks!
