I have always been interested in family history but did not start researching it until after the "Lewis Family Bible" was misplaced. I began actively researching to replace what was lost. Eventually the missing bible was found. I have learned much more than what was recorded in the bible.

edits, additions, and links
I try to verify all edit requests. If I can not verify the information by a quick search I will decline and request additional information. It's not you, I am so sorry to have to do this but some of the edit requests I have had were not correct. I even had an individual send me census info, where he retyped the spelling of the names to prove his point. I have been asked to link individuals to parents that were born 10 years before the child. I had a gentleman send parental links and when I declined he resent the correct ones, he just got mixed up a bit. It happens, he was thankful I checked. I even had an individual insist that the info on my mother was incorrect because her family tree book that was verify by her grandmother said different. I am sorry, just been burned too many times. Sometimes I just need to be pointed in the right direction, if the additional source information is provided, I will accept.

RE: Use of Findagrave photos
Feel free to use these photos. I was disappointed to see that the gravestone for Elisha has fallen over and is laying flat on the ground.

I was wondering if you are related to Beverly(Allison)Johnston #15668949 as you had her memorial transferred to you.I have been trying to find information on her Mother,Ethel(Halliday)
Allison #32014261.Beverly is a Johnston obviously by marriage, not by birth & Ethel is a Allison by marriage & what I am trying to do is find any information on the Halliday side, especially information on Ethel...where she was born, her parents names, any siblings etc...
One of Beverly's daughters is my best friend so we are trying to figure out if you are family & to see if you have any info on Ethel's family.

Any help/info you could give me would be greatly appreciated :-)

Polly Porter Evans
Hi Ronald...

I went ahead and added the info you gave me on Polly's son and husband. Thank you for the info. I will do a bit of research at the cemetery and see if either of them are buried elsewhere in that cemetery.

Hi Ron,

Do you know of a Henry Thwing from Ohio, who served in the Civil War?
