I originally sent these questions to the contributor who posted this gravestone, but they said you had provided the additional information I was curious about. If you could shed light on these questions I would greatly appreciate it.
1) I believe I am a direct descendant of the Samuel Lillie listed on this grave stone. I have been having trouble finding confirmation for exact birth and death dates. I see the stone has the death date, although the 1774 is barely legible, and it says he was 80 years old at the time. Your entry however is quite specific with both death and birth dates - how was this information come by? I would like to verify it somehow.
2) This entry also lists a Jonathan Lilly as a "calculated" relationship - how was this determined?
3) His wife and very specific dates for her birth and death are listed as well - where was this information found?
4) I cannot read the text at the bottom of the stone - do you know what it says?
Thank you very much for any time you can spare on this.
