"In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe."
Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.
"It's your world now
Use well the time
Be part of something good
Leave something good behind
The curtain falls
I take my bow
That's how it's meant to be
It's your world now."

|Jim Goddard||just finding this site!|
This is Jim Goddard. Ralph Goddard was my uncle, Russell Goddard my dad. Was wondering where in the link of Goddard you are a part of. :-) Love to connect with any of Ralph's family (or any of my other uncle's or aunt's families). Thank you.

Sharon - Thanks for the transfer! I have info to add for her. She is a 3rd cousin (once removed) and is in my Dalrymples of Hants County virtual cemetery. I'm coming to Nova Scotia in August and hope to get a gravestone picture!

|Edward Earl, Jr.||Mary Etta Goddard Family|
Thank you for contacting my husband Edward, we are very much interested in his family's history. We weren't given any history prior to Ed's mom, Mary Etta's passing, so it was nice to get a phone call regarding his great, great grandfather Goddard. Please let me know how I can find out more for so i can pass it along to my children. Thanks again.
It's so difficult to know which family goes by what, Robert Frasel , mentioned once there are over 17 ways of spelling Frauzel, Frausel, Frasel, Frawsell etc, but I do find it interesting for William Bowers, on headstone Frawsell and obit Frausell.Just trying to connect some of the families together. Thanks

|Patricia O||Oliver Teakles, Memorial #71023458|
Oliver is now in your care. I always sleep a little better when one of 'my' mariners finds his way home to family. These men were so brave and received so little recognition for their enormous part in World War II. Can you even imagine what it must have been like to know that the enemy was all around and under you, day and night, and could sink your ship at any given moment? And these men, these CIVILIANS, continued to sail, to 'deliver the goods' wherever they were needed. Oliver was a hero in every sense of the word.

Thank you so very much for his obit. I'll have my mother-in -law read it. She will be 102 in November and knew all the Mills family from Newfoundland. She always told me about Willoughby, she said he was her first love and that he went away and she never saw him again. Nice to know about him, putting his story to his picture. I'll try and add the obit.
