|I have always been interested in family history but did not start researching it until after the "Lewis Family Bible" was misplaced. I began actively researching to replace what was lost. Eventually the missing bible was found. I have learned much more than what was recorded in the bible.|

Ronald yes I received your message about the memorials I checked and saw you had already added them previously as you stated in your email I deleted all the ones I did I am sorry for adding them again I do not normally ever add memorials that have already been done by others I know that Find A Grave goes with the first submitted I have seen other members add the same memorials again after they have been done Thank You for pointing that out Jim
|Dianne Lane||birth years for parents of Lydia Janet Baker Lane|
Hello Mr. Lewis,
Thank you for so much information about my great, great, great grandmother. I am confused about the dates you list for Lydia's parents though. If Lydia was born in 1835 (and all the census records agree with this) then how can her father have been born in 1829 and her mother in 1833? I calculated about 1806 and 1813 respectively from the 1850 census record.
Can you provide the citation for the marriage? I'm looking for George Lane's parents. Have you seen this information?
Thank you for taking the time in adding the information. I appreciate it! Not everyone does.

Hello! Can you tell me if Martha Parks, wife of John L. Parks, is buried in Deer Creek Cemetery? I know she was alive and living with him in Granby, Oswego, NY in 1900. Because I can't find a grave for her in this area I am wondering if she lived long enough to go to Michigan with him. Thanks for any information you may be able to provide. My interest in these people is that he was a member of the 110th Regiment NYSV. Natalie J. Woodall, PhD

Wish I could get my hands on a Lewis Bible! I am researching my family of Toledo, OH. I've hit a brick wall with James born 1822? and a Martha Stackhouse born 1829. Both from NJ. They are my 2nd great grandparents.
If you have any info on them please let me know!!
I was actually already actively researching this family & it's associate families before you sent your edit request.Consequently there is actually 'more' info on her memorial now, including her parental links, than what you had included in your edit request.

I try to verify all edit requests. If I can not verify the information by a quick search I will decline and request additional information. It's not you, I am so sorry to have to do this but some of the edit requests I have had were not correct. I even had an individual send me census info, where he retyped the spelling of the names to prove his point. I have been asked to link individuals to parents that were born 10 years before the child. I had a gentleman send parental links and when I declined he resent the correct ones, he just got mixed up a bit. It happens, he was thankful I checked. I even had an individual insist that the info on my mother was incorrect because her family tree book that was verify by her grandmother said different. I am sorry, just been burned too many times. Sometimes I just need to be pointed in the right direction, if the additional source information is provided, I will accept.

Feel free to use these photos. I was disappointed to see that the gravestone for Elisha has fallen over and is laying flat on the ground.
