I'm looking for the parents of Henry Aldrich who lost his life in battle at Antietam at Sharpsburg, Washington County, Maryland on September 17, 1862.|
Mr. Aldrich entered the service from Bristol, Connecticut where he lived with his wife, Sarah (Peck) Aldrich and their three young children. He was 41 years old and working at the Bristol Clock Company when he enlisted on July 24, 1862. He was mustered into Company K of the 16th Connecticut Infantry on August 24, 1862, and was killed just 24 days later.
Mr. Aldrich is believed to have been born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1821. He has been mistaken for Henry Alanson Aldrich who died in 1906.
Henry Aldrich's oldest son, John W. Aldrich also served in the Civil War, and I'm trying to learn who his mother was.
Thank you in advance for any advice or help you may have to offer.

You are welcome. Apology accepted. And I'm hoping that you know who should be ordering her permanent gravestone. She deserves one as a veteran. And I'm also wondering if she is registered with the Women in Military Service to America foundation in Washington, DC. Your thoughts? MA

I just accepted your SAC's for his memorial page. I also added a gravestone photo that I took last fall in response to your photo request. Thank you for your help with his memorial page
