Genevive Klingshirn If you are asking if Sara has deleted Genevieve from St. Mary, Avon the answer is no. She is difficult to deal with. She has not been to the cemetery and puts info in from other sources.
RE: Find a Grave #61671689 I live in Lea County, NM. I have family buried in the cemetery you are taking photo's at. If I were you I would take a flower and place it on the unmarked grave(s) and take a picture of it then post to Find A Grave with the caption grave is unmarked at this time. Altho the graves are not marked you are making sure they are not forgotten and if family starts hunting for them they can know that the grave is unmarked and maybe have marker(s) made.
Your right it is sad to find a grave that has been there a long time with no marker. There might be someone in your area who donates markers to graves that have gone unmarked. Take a look at Everglade Cemetery. when the cemetery was started very poor people were buried there it got to the point they closed the cemetery to burials because they did not know where the graves were. The kind Lea County historian has now changed all that. You wouldn't know it unless you knew the small initials in the corner are his.
My ggrandparents are buried in Alabama. Because of Find A Grave contributors there are now photo of their headstones that I can go and virtually visit any time. Because of those photos and a Find A Grave contributor I also found the name of the amazing woman who raised my grandfather and his brother and sister. I don't think I would have ever known her name if it had not been for people like you who are taking the time to take photos for memorials. People like you are totally AMAZING!
Thanks for your reminder, because [I'm embarrassed to say it] although I remember you asked me to check on something regarding Martha Dutmers, I have completely forgotten what it was I was supposed to check. And, perhaps I already did, but my memory needs a jog.
RE: Shilo Cemetery, Alto Tx My find a grave buddy Judy Murphy is the "cleaner". Bless her heart she's very dedicated to the old stones. She & I worked Shiloh Cemetery together one day. For many years she used nothing more than water and a soft brush. She always carries a spray canister full of water with her, wets the stones, brushes it gently, then rinses it off. You'd be surprised how well it works! Also doesn't cost anything to do. Just lots of back breaking work ... thus why she has recently started using ORVUS cleaner. Its not always recommended to attempt to clean some stones but so far its worked well for her.
Sometimes (more often than one would realize) remains are moved to be united with those in other cemeteries. In a larger urban environment, people are often moved to more outlying cemeteries like Woodlawn or Resurrection, as family members move further out from the city center. I know a number of remains were transferred out of St. Andrew's down thru the years. Perhaps Martha is one of them. I will check further on this after the snow comes and I can no longer be taking photos.
Sugaski Hi again, The Cleveland Catholic Cemetery Assoc has just added St. Mary, Elyria to its on line lists of burials. This is where John and Genevieve are. I have left a message for the person who has them entered as cemetery unknown. (do a find with no state) Hopefully she will move them there.
Genevieve Klingshirn I saw you photo request. I'm a Klingshirn and have the book Faith, Joy and Tears and feel Genevieve is Genevieve Klingshirn Sugaski 1899-1967. There is a person that has put a lot of Klingshirn females into St. Mary by mistake, as the women are married and buried elsewhere.
RE: RE # 19496071 RE # 19496071 Michael Timothy Moriarty - I found him! #153049369 His head stone is covered by a bush and the Marker for his wife is right next to it. Added by Cathy Hart on Sep 29, 2015 8:36
Would you be willing to send me a picture of his wifes headstone? Thanks for all of your hard work!
