Each time I create a memorial I delight in thinking that it may someday provide comfort to a loved one or valuable information to a genealogist. |
Transfers - Please use the "Edit" tab on the memorial, send a "Suggest a Correction" including your "ID number". I'm more than happy to transfer memorials to their RELATIVES.
If FAMILY MEMBERS wish to have a memorial deleted I will do so, no questions asked.
Some dates/names on the headstones are hard to read. If you can help, please click the Edit tab at the top and send me a message. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in the completion of "Unknown" and incomplete memorials.
Thank you to everyone that made finding and documenting all the cemeteries in Forty Mile County possible. Thank you Kathie for making the many dusty gravel roads we travelled together so much fun!! Collaboration is wonderful and makes any project much more enjoyable.
The Alberta Genealogical Society - Lethbridge Branch gave me access to its Mountain View Cemetery records so unmarked graves and grave locations could be added to FindAGrave. AGS (Lethbridge) has a phenomenal amount of info on file including neatly catalogued obituaries - please support them, if possible. Thanks to all AGS members!!
I would like to thank the Vulcan & District Historical Society for giving me access to all of the Vulcan County Cemetery records and the amazing support of my main contact in that group. WOW!!!!
Volunteers spend countless hours photographing/ creating memorials and appreciate knowing their efforts are appreciated. I know I do.

The little notice of his death is in the MacLeod Advertiser, May 12, 1908. It mentions his parents Sgt. and Mrs. Alexander. Just wanted you to know how the connection was made for the edit put in.

From the middle of my heart an endless, grateful Thank You for getting Willard and Frances Layng Aselstine in here! I have spent 15 years waiting to see them, from here in the US. I have hand written letters from her that guided us to a whole family that did not know we existed, nor us them, and the whole thing has been a delight. If anyone ever has a photo of her, please, send, put it up in findagrave. I will happily share the letters!
Thanks for creating the Raynard entries from Mountain View and sending them in my direction. Greatly appreciated!

|Marla Gledhill||Edward and Mary Blackmore|
Thank you for trying to get a photo of my infant aunt and uncle. According to my grandmother's journal, both Edward Horn Blackmore (Born 6 Apr 1892, Sublett, Idaho - Died 28 March 1893, Cardston, Alberta, Can.) and Mary Blackmore (Born 28 Feb 1894, died 25 March 1895 - Cardston, Alberta, Can.) were buried in the Cardston Cemetery. I was attempting to get pictures of the graves, if available, for my records. I do not know if there is an official record of the burials.
Thanks, Marla Gledhill - Great-granddaughter of Mary Christina Ada Horn Blackmore,(mother of the children listed above, and whose journal I refer to.)

I've got your back in Ontario !!
I just wanted to send a heartfelt Thank You, from my little corner of Find A Grave to you, for all of your hard work and dedication with helping me to put the many branches of the Paulson/Witwicki family tree together. Your photos and text have, and will continue to be, a great source of interest and my family and I will be forever grateful for your terrific, selfless efforts.
With warmest regards,
|Cousin Bob||Leavitt Cemetery|
I appreciate all the work you do and I am very impressed with the large amount of photos you have taken. You have given me permission to take over some of my ancestors pages. I appreciate that. I starting a blog on my family history and I was wondering if I could get permission from you to use some of the photos you have taken for my ancestors?
|Martha Carlisle Mitchell||Burk family|
I just discovered that there is also a photo of James E. and Elizabeth E.'s grave marker. In my last message I asked to use the photo of Helen Burk's marker, I would also like to use the one of Jim and Nell's marker.

I am a Burk descendant. My grandmother was a Burk, her brother James Elisha Burk was Helen's father.
Would you allow me to use the photo of Helen Burk's grave marker on my family tree in Ancestry.com? I would mark it private because many people just take whatever they find.
If you would rather not allow me to use it for my tree I would like to keep it in my Pictures folder.
