|Lola Winterstein||Relationship of Edward W Porter|
On the memorials #39021974 and #164303750 sibling Edward W Porter #39021610 is recorded as 1/2 sibling. I am not disputing this as the mother of the daughters would have been 52 by the time Edward was born, but do you know who Edward's biological mother was? Also wondering how you acquired the family information. Are you related? Margaret and her first husband George were my third great-grandparents. Thank you for your time and consideration in answering my questions. Lola W.

|Charles Riend||Your flower is flagged|
I know, it is just a poem I post for Airman. For some reason it is always flagged.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . . Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or ever eagle flew — And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. — John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
|stacy thomas||George Burchus & Mckensie family|
I couldnt help but notice your last name is Mckensie, along with the George Barchus info , are you related to this George Barchus? The reason I ask is cause Im also related to a George Barchus and his mother is Margaret (Mckensie) Barchus . Please answer back if you can.
|Penny Banks||Mary A. Riordan|
My name is Penny Banks. My mother is Anna Margaret Mayer Banks. She is now 98. I have information from you received from you many years ago.
My question is about Mary A. Riordan. I had her listed as wife of William Hammond, parents to Margaret, Jane, Nellie. But in newspaper articles and in the census she is listed as aunt to those girls. And I cannot find William Hammond. Do you have any more info? Also in a newspaper article, it mentions Mrs. Anthony Riehl/Rhiel as a sister to Margaret, Jane and Nellie.
Hope you can help.

Thank you so much! Yes, his father, my Gran, passed when I was little. I have been trying to locate his obituary in my Grama's old papers so I can create a memorial for him as well. I truly appreciate it-- thank you for all of your contributions to this page!
