Greetings from Holland, Michigan - the Tulip City!
It's always been important to me to remember my loved ones. Fate led me here many years ago and allowed me to enter friends and family members. ~~~~~~ My Husband and I aren't doing as much requests as we used to but if my current entries have any inaccuracies please let me know.
I will also transfer any entries I have entered to family members without hesitation if you are related to them. I see no need to keep family members apart and neither should anyone else. I know what the F.A.G. rules are but I'm not a stickler. Just don't ask for any of my direct relatives.
I would like to acknowledge Hope College and it's work with the Joint Archives of Holland for its amazing work in keeping up the accuracy of Holland's history and her pioneers. ~~~~~~
* Important Reminder!*
Every picture we've taken are under our copyright and I have my originals. If you want to use our pics for any genealogy reason please ask me first and credit my work with my name and member number listed above. Do not use any of my photos without permission. Deal?
I don't know. I feel like you, maybe I made a mistake. Shall I just delete mine since yours are older and maybe you could see if they are there in the spring. Both of their death cert say New Gron. I will add the lot photo to each of yours and delete mine if that works for you.
RE: Geert Kamps His parents must have died in the Netherlands. I was on a Dutch website trying to find the name of his wife with possibly a marriage registration because all you had was Mrs. Kamps, but her name surfaced off a death certificate from one of the kids. :)
Henry Alger Lanning My name is Michael Lanning. I am Uncle Alger's nephew. I'm respectfully writing to request that you please send me ALL of the info that you have about him and his grave site. Please and thank you.
Find A Grave Memorial# 59344902 Re: Esther Eliza Smith, Holland Michigan. I visited the site with Bill Van Appeldorn, the local historian. He did not know about findagrave.com, although he is the caretaker for the physical grave site. I took a GPS reading of the exact location of the marker: N42.78359, W86.08835. Putting this on the memorial itself will greatly help people locate it in the future. Bill has personally visited the site many times and he still had some trouble locating it yesterday. I'm not a Smith relative, but serve as a family / tribal historian in NW lower Michigan. Best wishes
Vanderslik Family May I please have your permission to copy your headstone photos of the Vanderslik family to my genealogy site? I discovered you have many photos of them, they would be a great asset to the family history pages! My grandfather was Thomas Peter Vanderslik, he is buried in Kalamazoo, MI but I see most of his siblings on your site. Thank you for considering my request, I will be send edits with more information to be added to your site.
Goozens in Zeeland cemetery If you are not related to all the Goozens in Zeeland cemetery I wonder if you would transfer them to me as they are distant cousins. Sharon Haskin Galitz (Find A Grave 47286210)
