Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been interested in genealogy for many years and in researching have found myself in many different cemeteries and have fallen in love with them. They have so many stories to tell, some happy and some not so. And as the years pass and the old stones are getting more and more worn and hard to read I am so glad to know so many are trying to preserve them by taking photos and transcribing the stones and getting them up on findagrave. What a wonderful place this is with so many hard working contributors.

John Davis 55230349
Janice,

I am trying to find where John Davis' brother Gideon Davis is buried. I have information that he is buried there at Raymond Village Cemetery, Maine. But I am not sure and don't want to make a memorial for him until I find out for sure. Gideon was born February 14, 1750 and died June 23, 1829. He married Abigail McKenney who was born May 28, 1747 but I don't know when she died or where she is buried. I was wondering if you could help me out if you live near Raymond Village Cemetery. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you. Candace Davis Manfredi

Dr Elijah Pope 1818-1856, FAG Memorial# 69242001
Dear Janice,

I want to thank you very much for the transfer of Dr Pope's memorial and for creating it in the first place.

I also apologize for taking longer than I had intended to research and write up his important story. I had to buy several books the contents of which were not available on line.

I am at a stopping point but hopefully may have more to say later.

Merci encore.

Ben

Well, the person who manages his memorial very quickly linked him to his wife. I had sent the Edit request to both of you. Sorry for the bother.

Mayhew grave photo
May I have permission to use (and credit you) your excellent photo of Ruth Swett Mayhew's gravestone in my next book, which will feature her among many others who were the earliest matrons in three of our State Institutions? #78195472
Thank you. Annie Dorey
p.s. I wonder why her husband isn't showing up. I shall investigate that tomorrow.

Ms. Gower-
Thank You for the three photos-
Did you notice the notice on your clear photo a sketch on the Nason stone of the motor home. I wonder what it means? Thank You again. I am 74 and not tech savy, To put these photos and others I have photo copied them then scanned them then up-loaded to Ancestry member profile- With very old stones that are hard to read the stone once on Ancestry is hard to read. I wonder if there is some simple way to move these photos , either direct from e-mail or from location on Ancestry to profile--- Thanks these photos are beautiful and clear. Phiip Nason
