I love exploring and photographing old cemeteries in Maine. I am especially familiar with Androscoggin, Cumberland, Hancock, and York counties. I am a Greater Portland History docent, photographer for Greater Portland Landmarks, and a member of SpiritsAlive.com, the overseers of Eastern Cemetery in Portland, Maine|

Thanks so very much for the photos that you took and put on their memorials. Really appreciate it. Good to be able to see where they are buried when you live a long distance away. MagVee #47223009

Thank you for posting the photos of Annie B Bacon's and her parents' gravestone. on the Find-A-Grave record # 117029911. It is not the person I was looking for, but thanks anyway. I see you have requested the birthdate be changed from blank to 1867. Keep up the good work! Thanks again, and I will keep looking my Annie Bacon. BVB
Thank you very much for taking this photo, it's the gravesite of my distant relative. I really appreciate it!

It was just by chance that I happened on the tombstone. I was walking around the different sections with my list of names and I happened on it.
I have found numerous headstones, including relatives, just from walking around.
I probably use the same lists from GHS that you have, and my cemetery layouts are vintage 1930 provided by the WPA. Some things have changed but the layout is pretty much the same.
I stand corrected; it was a note attached to the photo request for Elizabeth Harding (#103496296) in the Harding (Simon) Cemetery in Baldwin.

I saw your "problem" message on a FG photo request, noting that a woman was the CONSORT of a gentleman, and NOT his wife. I always thought that consort was an early term for wife and used interchangeably. What, then, IS a consort, if not a spouse?

I'm really moved to look at the picture of Thomas' grave. I've hoped to for so long. Thomas was a Tanner and lived his entire life Tanning on Green St. at Deering's Bridge.
Thanks so very much
Thank you again for the all Thomas photos. It has been so cool to see the photos.
