I've been interested in genealogy for many years and in researching have found myself in many different cemeteries and have fallen in love with them. They have so many stories to tell, some happy and some not so. And as the years pass and the old stones are getting more and more worn and hard to read I am so glad to know so many are trying to preserve them by taking photos and transcribing the stones and getting them up on findagrave. What a wonderful place this is with so many hard working contributors.|
Because of the frequent requests for additions to the memorials, requests to link to parents etc, I must ask for documentation cites as I don't have the time to research each and everyone to be sure of accuracy. Some have requested things that I have checked out that were not in fact accurate. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank You for the three photos-
Did you notice the notice on your clear photo a sketch on the Nason stone of the motor home. I wonder what it means? Thank You again. I am 74 and not tech savy, To put these photos and others I have photo copied them then scanned them then up-loaded to Ancestry member profile- With very old stones that are hard to read the stone once on Ancestry is hard to read. I wonder if there is some simple way to move these photos , either direct from e-mail or from location on Ancestry to profile--- Thanks these photos are beautiful and clear. Phiip Nason

Both of these memorials have the same flag. I am wondering what it is. They are father and son.

I have sponsored the memorial on Find A Grave for:
Dr Elijah Pope, an M.D. who practiced as a dentist - Find A Grave Memorial# 69242001
I sponsor all the memorials that I am researching
Would you consider transferring this to me and I will add more information.
As you probably know, your name would remain on the memorial as the one who created it.
I am a medical & dental historian (Wellcome Institute, London) and retired director of the National Museum of Dentistry, Baltimore (see my bio and some of the physicians and dentists I am working on.)
I am mainly researching practitioners that I have artifacts from. I just sent a link for his wife. They married in October of 1844 and she died in December.
If you are not comfortable with a transfer - I can send you the information to add.
Thank you for considering a transfer

p.s. I think your photo of his gravestone is my favorite of all I have seen on Find A Grave. Thank you for doing this cemetery.
Thank you kindly!!!!!

|Anonymous||RE: charles and nettie smith|
Charles and Nettie are in the Riverside cemetery in Washburn Maine. However, having checked again my grandmother's first name is spelled correctly. I must have seen it somewhere else. I apologize.
Is it possible to add Nettie and Charles other 3 children?
Sorry to be such a pest.
Nettie's memorial number is: 49068323
Charles is: 49067331
|Anonymous||charles and nettie smith|
Nettie and Charles Smith are my great grandparents. Nettie lived with my grandmother, Tressa L. Daggett (Smith) until she died in 1947. Nettie and Charles had 4 children, my grandmother being the youngest.
1.Lula M. Smith;
2. Herbert L. Smith;
3. Vera F. Smith; and
4. Tressa L. Smith.
Can you please correct my grandmother's first name? It is Tressa, not Theresa.
Kathy Quimby (Daggett)
Thank you for the picture of her gravestone !!

Another fine job. Thanks for the photos.
Thanks Janice for getting a picture of this stone. I surprised nobody finished the dates on the stone.
