Bio and Links
Bio Photo The very first thing I want to say is THANK YOU to all of you who send me edits for the memorials I manage. I check Find A Grave almost every day and absolutely love it when edits come my way. I use the edit feature often, and it always lifts my spirits when I see them go through. It reinforces that this site is a community effort and we are all working together to make it as complete and accurate as possible.

I have been interested in genealogy for 30 years and have written over a dozen family history books, the first one in 1979. The majority of our family vacations in the 1980s & 1990s revolved around cemeteries and visiting relatives. (Our kids ask why there are so many photos of them posing on headstones!)

When I joined FindAGrave, I kept busy adding our own family members. I knew where most were buried but some had to be searched for. In 2013, my husband and I took a trip through Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota and, in the process, found lots of folks to whom we were not related. I've created memorials for them adding as much additional information as I could find. We were able to fill dozens of photo requests; it felt good being able to pay forward all of the requests that volunteers have filled for us.

I endeavor to make memorials as complete as possible, including headstone photos, bios and links. (I have received permission for obits unless the newspapers are out of print or the copyrights have expired.)

Most of my memorials are family members, but I'll happily consider transfers if you are more closely related.

You are welcome to use any of the photos I have posted but I would enjoy hearing from you if you do use any.

FindAGrave has added so much to my life. I love being a part of it!

RE: Annie Bunch
Fantastic!! Yes, sounds like you solved the name mystery. You're a good researcher!! Won't be necessary to send their marriage record. Sometime this weekend I'll see if I can locate what you did. That way I don't get rusty :O Thanks for sorting it out. Hope you have a great weekend.

RE: Edith Tirrell
I just transferred her to you. I think family no matter how distant can always take care of the memorials best.

Are you related to Edith Tirrell? If so would you like her transferred to you?

Dear Nancy, Thank-you for your generous blanket use of your photos. I will be adding them to my tree on with credit given to you. I am related to the Gilberts through the Horton/Gay side. Your memorials are some of the nicest I've seen. Thank-you again. Warmly, Joni

I think I just messed up?! I think I sent you an suggestion for edit, about a picture request that was made for Archie and you were not the one who made the request for the picture, you just made the page for him.
Anyway, hope that explains why you got that message, ok?

RE: Paul Florhaug
Thank you for your note, Nancy! I definitely will add it to my Tree for additional reference & confirmation of burial as there is no stone. Paul Florhaug is my husband's 2x great grandfather.

RE: Sand Hill Cemetery
Every cemetery has lots of unmarked graves. Who knows what happens over the decades or very often, none was ever purchased. Back in the day, folks just did not have money or erected wooden crosses which are long gone
