I have always taken an interest in family tree histories. My father was an avid fan of Find a Grave and he introduced me to this site before he passed away in 2008. Find A Grave Memorial# 46644773. I am happy to be a photo volunteer for much of the Los Angeles area!|
You can feel free to use creative commons with the photos I take if you'd like to use them in your genealogy or family history projects.
-I have recently acquired many of the memorials for Hollywood Forest Lawn. I am happy to help with transfers and edits, but please be COURTEOUS and thorough if you have an inquiry or concern. I am a volunteer. If you find a memorial that I maintain, unless they are in my Virtual Family Cemetery, then I have no information on them other than their burial location.
I LOVE to find relatives and homes for the memorials I manage, so IF you see a memorial you'd like TRANSFERRED, I'm more then happy to do so, just put in the request via the "EDIT" option. (Will transfer ANY except those in my Family Virtual Cemetery). ***Also, to expedite edits please use the EDIT tab that Find a Grave has recently provided in the upper right hand corner of all memorials. "Suggested corrections" should be used for transfer requests or other edits that are not options under the EDIT tab.***
Please note, when listing random memorials, I often try to link families together to the best of my ability, using my judgment and common sense. So, I imagine some of the relationship links I have created may not be accurate and I'm always happy to update or change if you can help.
Please do not send me requests to change the entry of MAIDEN name for Males whose name origin indicates that they are LATINO. This name is often their mother's maiden name and used for lineage purposes. Maybe a suggestion would be for Find A Grave to add an entry space for this.
My family lines are Schmidt/Wassem and Johnsen/Hale. My husband's family lines are Alves/Carvalho and Bacellar/Huet.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures of Ralph's grave. His daughter and grandson traveled to California to see his grave yesterday. Unfortunately, the plot number they were given did not have a marker, so they just left flowers, and intended to order a marker. So imagine my surprise when your pictures showed up today! I called them this morning to let them know, but they were already out of California. They were so disappointed, but happy to know it is marked. They would like to plan another trip there in the near future. Do you recall the exact plot location? If you can let me know it, I will put that information on findagrave.

Hello,Carolyn. The above number for Ward D Neff is for my grandfather. He had four children, the first born was the only boy and his name was Ward Lyle Neff, findagrave #56374484. The photos from both sites seem correct to me. I don't see where there is a label of a grave instead of a person. I hope this helps. Deb

Thank you for maintaining my grandfather's memorial on Find A Grave. And, for adding the picture of his headstone. I was able to leave him flowers, & a msg.
Thanks so much,

Hi Carolyn, I received your message in my email. I looked for the error you mentioned but I cannot find a photo that I posted to that site for my uncle Ward. Are you sure it hasn't already been taken care of? I am awaiting your reply. cordially, Deb Driskill-Holdaway
