The vast majority of pages I've added to Find-a-Grave are for strangers. I'm always happy to transfer pages to people who know something about these strangers. If you would like for me to transfer a page to you, please let me know (preferably by clicking on "edit" and then "suggest correction" since that will provide both a link to the page and a link to your contributor page with the necessary ID# for the transfer).|
I live in Jackson (Hinds County), Mississippi, and love "graving," whether here in central Mississippi or in other places when I'm traveling. If you find errors in my listings, please send me corrections.
A note about photo requests: If you make a request for Lakewood Memorial Park or Lakewood South, please include the section and plot number.

Natalie, thank you so very kindly for this transfer and for your continued generous and valuable contributions that will continue to benefit scores of future generations. I'm working on this particular branch of my Whitfields and putting this large family together. Kindest Regards, Nancy

Natalie I am so sorry, I was unaware of your 2005 Memorial page. I don't know how I missed it because I always check for that before adding My own. Thank you so much and the picture you added is just fine. You do such great work for this wonderful site and I for one really appreciate it. Fran

|C. Granberry||RE: Civil WAr Cemeteries in and around Hinds County, MS|
I've noticed that you have posted a great many memorials and pictures in Hinds County. I'm searching for a Civil War soldier (Stephen Franklin Granberry, Jr.) who has been added to Find A Grave as being buried in Bethesda Cemetery; however, two people report on a photo request they cannot find a headstone. Several family members are there, including his wife and his son with whom he lived in 1910, but no Stephen. Having said all that, do you know of a Civil War Soldiers Cemetery in or around Hinds County?
Any help will be appreciated.
|Patricia Dickens Johnson||MY GRANDPARENTS :)|
I was tearfully excited to view the grave of my mother's(MAGNOLIA ROUNDTREE DICKENS) mom and dad...JAMES 'BUSTER' ROUNDTREE & MATTIE C. ROUNDTREE. I can remember visiting them on the farm in Sallis , MS when I was a little girl.
They loved me so and I loved them. Thank you for the photos. I remember attending their funerals and witnessing the sadness in my mother's eyes. I will never forget it.
Thank God for kind and compassionate individuals as yourself who take the time to salvage a strangers burial site....not realizing the positive effect it has on generations that came after.....just being able to view a small bit of their history. Blessings to you.
Patricia Dickens Johnson (grand daughter of James and Mattie Roundtree)
