Bio Photo I was born in 1930 and raised in Barron, Wisconsin. I served in the Army Signal Corps from 1948 - 1952 and was discharged as a Staff Sgt. Worked for the Post Office in Barron for three years. Graduated from Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire, WI. in 1960 and then went to work for the US Food & Drug Adm. Retired in 1988. Currently living in Sun City, Georgetown, TX with my wife Janet.

Since I have no relatives buried in Texas, I will transfer any memorials that are your relatives or friends to you. Just click on EDIT in the upper righthand corner of the memorial, select the first line in the menu and request the transfer. Be sure to include your ID number.

I wish to thank all those who have pointed out my errors so they could be corrected and who have provided additional information for the bio, such as obituaries.

Thank you for the transfer of Julie. Her family was so close as we were growing up. I wish I could have kept going.

john isn't part of Woodie's name
Greetings John,
Thank You for adding the bio on Woodie Ransom !Find A Grave # 22035315
I remember researching Woodie and discovered there were two Woodie Ransom's in Williamson Co. TX...just remembered that.. anyway,
my cousin Woodie Ransom wasn't a John, if you back that off his name I'd certainly appreciate it.
Thanks Again

Calmly Searching
Thank you!!!
I want to let you know how much you are appreciated. Thank you for the countless hours you have spent on creating memorials on this site. I have not seen a more thorough, or dedicated contributor than you.
Presently I am working on photos in Barron County, Wisconsin. More specifically this week, Meadow Creek Cemetery. I have found throughout Barron, Cameron, Rice Lake and other cemeteries within a 40 mile radius your heart felt, memorial creations.
Even after you have transferred some of these to other contributors, you seem to continue to find and add more information, bringing the departed even more life stories.
Your photos are always in focus, legible, and straight. You honor our Veterans in very special ways!!!
I am honored to know you in some small way if only through your memorials. Hope someday to be as dedicated and thorough as you.
God Bless you in all your endeavors.
Thank you!!! You are my Find A Grave hero!!! :)

Burial for Leola Calvert Hunt
Please send me, Katherine Watson's address. I need to remove the information they reported on the Find a Grave. I do not know a thing about managing a grave site. I will know now not to give info to you again. Bobbie Weeks
