I have been working genealogy for over 25 years. |
The web address is not my personal home page its where I spend most of my time.
My email is; marinersknoll(at)marinersknoll.org
If you are interested in one of the memorials, at St. Joseph's OLD Cemetery, Wayland, NY, please send me an email with the name of the person you are requesting included. I will get back to you as soon as I can. I have photographed all of the headstones in the cemetery and with the exception of persons still living, ALL are posted on the memorial. If there isn't a photo on the memorial of a headstone, there isn't a headstone for that person. Plot numbers for this cemetery are not recorded anywhere except with ME. So if you need info about a plot number, please feel free to ask me.
First digit is the section number 1-4. Sections are numbered East to West starting at Deiter Rd.
Next 2 digits are the row number, also numbered East to West, except for section 4 which the rows are numbered North to South from State Route 63.
The 4th digit is 1 or 2 letters. If there are more than 24 graves in a row there are 2 letters and the first is either A or B. (I & O are skipped). Headstones in each row are number from the driveway across back of the cemetery, toward State Route 63 except section 4. Where graves are lettered West to East starting from the backside of section 3.
If there is another digit at the end of the plot number, there are more than 2 names/graves on the same headstone or in the plot. Again, if you have a question about plot numbers, please email ME. NB: The Parish Office has NO info about plot numbers at this cemetery.
In St. Joseph's New Cemetery & St. Pius V New Cemetery in Cohocton, the plots are numbered simply Sect ... Then a Roman Numeral .. I. II, III, ect. Then a one - three digit number for the site & last the grave number. In St. Joseph's they go from 1 thru 8. At St.Pius they are numbered sequentially thru the section.

I don't know these people. I don't have them in my Find A Grave listings. No one has contacted me about them. Sorry, I'm not much help.

I have no clue as to whether this is Alma Watson, or what relationship she may have with Charlotte and Sarah. They are no relation to me, so, your guess is as good as mine.
|Harry Miller||Henry B Brasted|
You have added a gravestone photo to his memorial #16695935. His date of death corresponds to the death of a Henry Brasted, being struck by a rr train, Canisteo, NY. I request your permission to add the photo to his profile on ancestry.com.

Thank you for sending the source. I had found that site this weekend after checking the web following receiving your suggestion re Caroline Grosch. The info re her parents, however, is incorrect. I sent the website the correct information on the children of Ludwig Karcher and Christina Engel already. Some of their data is incorrect, including having nieces and nephews listed as Ludwig and Christina's children, omitting others entirely and attributing Caroline Grosch as their child. She is simply not related. Ludwig and Christina are my ggg-grandparents and my great aunt left behind many of their family papers. I also have researched them and their children extensively. I came across Caroline Karcher Grosch some years ago and was able to discount her. They did have a daughter named Caroline but she died in 1884. All the best and thanks for your work on Find A Grave!

You failed to give me your email when asking a question about this memorial. If you will send it to me I will explain how easy it was to determine several trees on Ancestry had the wrong surname for her.
