Re: Ina F. Dunlap
I think I would go with the obituary. As I mentioned, there are some typo's in the Curry Funeral Home Records that the Lincoln County Genealogical Society produced. I have found incorrect dates, name spellings, and even a name carried from the previous entry to the next set of statistics; incorrect cemeteries, etc. Curry Records list two Ina Dunlaps... the first is Ina F. Dunlap (1913-2000) and Ina Jean (Graley) Dunlap (1915-1962). Ina F.'s marital status was listed as "never married" with father being Hardy Dunlap and mother Kate Armstrong. And Ina F. appears in the 1940 US census as their daughter and age 26. Household Gender Age Birthplace
Head Willis H Dunlap M 62 West Virginia
Wife Kate Dunlap F 57 West Virginia
Daughter Ina F Dunlap F 26 West Virginia
Son Boyd Dunlap M 22 West Virginia
Daughter-in-law Vivian Dunlap F 20 West Virginia
Not sure if any of this clears up the whole thing..but as I said, I would go with the obit. I just wish we knew who her husband was!
Thanks for info.

Re: Edith Pearl (nee Turley) Dunlap
Her maiden name was Turley, according to Curry Funeral Home Records. Their records are often incomplete, especially when it comes to "marital status". Many times marital status is omitted completely, other times it will give a name of spouse, other times it will just say "married" , or "no", or "never" or "never married" or "divorced" without a spouses name. I have run into typo's also. In Edith's case, she married a Dunlap and her mother's maiden name was Dunlap. We have a snarled family history out of WV, many marriages between Martins and Midkiffs and Pauleys and Turleys. Can be very confusing.

I noticed you entered many of the Bird family in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Putnam County, West Virginia. Are you in that area? I have some questions, if you are.

you posted a photo here and by mistake it had two entries. The other one was first so I want to reuse this number. Do you mind removing the photo. when I reuse the number it will be on the wrong memorial. sorry and thanks.
PS: there is a photo on the other memorial for this person. But you might want to look anyway. Verlin Gay Clark. curry cemetery, marmet.

RE: Lon Green
Thanks so much...I just found obituary where four of his children buried in a fire back in 1948!! How awful for the parents!
