Proud graduate of Virginia Tech -- go Hokies!
Since almost all of the cemeteries in my home county of Monroe, WV, have already been logged (Matthew Broyles -- you did an OUTSTANDING JOB!), I thought it might be interesting to log some of the cemeteries in the Martinsburg, WV area. Hopefully, someone out there will find this site as interesting, useful, and rewarding in learning more about their ancestry as I have. And who knows -- I might just run across some of my own ancestors in the process. I'm trying to take pictures too -- especially of older headstones, along with those of war veterans.
Feel free to contact me for any corrections/additions to any of the information that I've entered. It would also be nice to hear from anyone who's been able to learn more about their ancestry from a grave that I've entered.

|Patricia Brigham & Timothy Brigham||RE: David Hawn Memorial|
Thank you Steve. I wish I could link them I have yet to find where they are buried. My 3rd Great Grandmother was David's sister. If I find them I will send you the links. Thanks again!
My husband is a distant cousin of Matthew Broyles thru the Burdettes..Matthew has helped me a lot on our tree.I have been working on our Patton tree Matthew mentioned you took the Tristram Patton photo's at New Lebanon Ct. another memorial has been listed at OLD Lebanon by Tracie Flack so I have asked her to delete her memorials as not to confuse people about their place of burial..do you happen to remember taking the photo.
My next question is I have about 30 photo request for Foglesong.Houchins,Fry relatives at Riverview Ct at Ronceverte,WV.Do you happen to live near there or know anyone that could take the photo's?
I really like your Hee Haw virtual memorial.
My husband Jimi's dad was in the Country music business.His mom was great friends with Minnie Pearl and played tennis often with her at Maryland Farms country club.

Steve, I would like to thank for for taking the pictures of our family- Frank and Kathleen McCormick's tomstones. We appreciate your time and effort. This means so much to us.
They were our great Aunt and Uncle. Also learned from the information about a child that we didn't know they had- Vaughanna (Vaughan on the tombstone). Thank you so very much for this lead. I'll go check for a death certicate on her now. You have made my day. God Bless you. Maggie

|vernon||Amanda & William Haynes|
Amanda (Harvey) Haynes 21210865 wife of William Haynes 21210853 if you would care to link them as they did 19 Nov 1850 in Monroe County.
She was the daughter of James and Nancy (Snidow) Harvey of Red Sulphur Spings.
Thomas Clark in "Before Amanda - Clark & Harvey Families" (a different Amanda, Clarks grand daughter) states "Hon. (William) Haynes represented Monroe County in the Virginia Legislature of 1856 and was elected a member of the Constitutional Convention of 1871."
