I love genealogy. I am a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. I have many lines going back to the American Revolution and continue to work to prove my lineage to those patriots. I am also an amateur photographer and 'dig' cemeteries. I sometimes take my walks through our local one. So I think it would be fun to shoot headstones. I am happily married, a mom of four and grandma of 6. Being a grandparent is so fun! I collect antiques, am a creative person and enjoy trash to treasure projects. My home is warm and inviting and full of old family photos. Some of my lines are: Ogden, Stewart, Cunningham, Witt, Reeves, Griffin and many more.
RE: Re: John Witt and Wife Yes I saw headstones with info on them. I would not put them on here without the information. The info on this site is what I read from the stones themselves. There are more graves there without headstones as well.
Re: John Witt and Wife Hello Pamela, I am not related to the Mr> Witt nor wife. I was searching for some of my ancestors that lived in the area and may have been buried there. i have been to this cemetery, but unfortunately my camera battery lost charge. I placed their names in for this cemetery because there were none when I looked it up. I think all should be remembered and found by those searching. I wish that I was able to get some pictures, but I did get the info for all of the grave that I could read at the time. If you are in the Knoxville, TN area I can give you directions. This cemetery is in the middle of a pasture, but was maintained when I was there. Sincerely, Barbara Rutherford
RE: Hi Witt cousin Hello! Thanks for replying! I totally understand! Family History is alot of fun, but can become addicting! I have to put my research on hold for many months or i wont get anything done. Ive been researching since high school, and will always be my favorite hobby. I am now picking it up after a few months break, since we are expecting out first baby in December, Im wanting to try to fill in the blanks of our family tree for the baby.
Would love to stay in touch, will be sending email soon! Have a beautiful day!
Witt family Hello! I see that some of your line you are researching is Witt. I have Witt in my family line as well!
My grandmother on my mother sides maiden name was Witt, She was from Arkansas. My Great grandfather was Joseph Allison Witt, my great great grandfather was john Newton Witt married Martha V Reed and after that, on the Witt side, I have hit a wall. All i seem to have is Allison/Allerson Witt & Sarah J. Rogers, but im not even sure if thats correct.
Would love to share info! I am also interested in my many great Aunts & Uncles.
Cunningham's You sent me a message about Wallace & Sarah Cunningham asking me how I was related - their daughter Pheobe is my grandmother, her daughter Berttella or Boots which is what everyone called her was my mother. May I ask who your parents are? I would love to share info and learn new info. my e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org hope to hear from you soon
RE: Sherman Griffin Thank you, Pam. To fix the error click on Burial: Edit. First, on Step 1, click Burial, and then on Step 2, select Rambo Cemetery Searcy County. I hope I have been helpful. Again, thank you for responding to my hint. Very appreciative, Tinkalew :)
David L Ogden David Ogden is my 5th Great Grandfather. My line goes as follows Pleas Carroll Ogden Alfred Abner Ogden Julia Ann Ogden Carlton Doy Denver Carlton Audrey Carlton Stone Greta Stone Dean Becky Dean Counts
If you have any pictures of these I would love to share. I have a picture of Julia Ann Ogden down to current relatives. Nice to meet a cousin.
RE: Ogden I have the line researched back to David. I had some conflicting dates for Reuben and David Lawrence. I believe I have those straight now. I am in the process of getting all of the proof documents now. That is a tedious process! Who did you join under?
