Got interested in this in trying to research our family tree after my Dad died and found out no one knew too much about my father's mother's side. Now I find I spend most of my spare time tromping around Western NY cemeteries, looking for my ancestors, REDDEN, GRIFFEN, WOLCOTT,KEENAN, KING, DURFEE, HAND, BROOKS, ALLEN and HARVEY.
If I've entered someone in your family I would be glad to add info or transfer them to you. If you request a transfer please state your relationship to the deceased. And please excuse any errors I may have made and contact me for a correction. Be sure to put FAG in the subject line so I don't delete your e-mail.Hope I can help someone.

Benedict Alford
Do you realize that there are 2 listings for Benedict; one under Alford (yours) and one under Alvord (#8797064). Depending on who was writing depended on how they spelled his names. If you look at the 2 headstones they are the same. Plus the only marriage records I can find is a marriage to Jerusha Ashley. Thank-you for the great picture. Sincerely, Jan Peters

RE: Irene Hall
Marsha, The number is 15365487. right now I'm working on marriage licenses for Kenneth, clifford and Howard Hall to confirm their father is Emmett Hall. I'm logged in at familysearch.org and the record link I've started with is https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-159370-371861-55?cc=1618491&wc=M6BH-F3D:123525701 . My connection is slower than molasses is January and my progress on my genealogy quest is just as slow. I'm making my self be meticulous in the search as I prefer not to bark up the wrong tree. I will assist in F.A.G as often as I am able.

Marsha, I submit the following for your consideration: I’m deducing the dates provided from the head stones. ‘Baby Son Hall’ died 15 Feb 1850. Charles and Charlie Hall were born 1864 and 1861 respectively. ‘Hall Son” was born 1850 and died 14 Feb 1850 and could not be the son of either Charles or Charlie. Stanley Hall was born 26 April 1850 and is the son of Lorenzo and Caroline Hall. So, the two infant Hall sons belong to Lorenzo and Caroline as well as Stanley. I further deduce, as many may already have, that the three boys are triplets and where born perhaps on the same day, 26 April 1850.
Very Respectfully,
Bob

Oliver Wolcott
Hi Marsha,
I made a mistake on my message to you. I wrote that Roger Wolcott's son "Roger" was one of the signer's of the Declaration of Independence which in reality it was his other son "Oliver". Oliver would be my 6th great uncle. Sorry for the mistake. All in all I just want to thank you again for the great research you did on the Wolcott family history.

Hi Marsha
Thank you so much for the info. I am a decedent of the Wolcott's on my mother's side. Roger Wolcott was my 7th great-grandfather and his son Alexander was my 6th great-grandfather. Roger Wolcott who was signer of the Declaration of Independence was my 6th great-uncle. My grandmother was a Balestier and her great great grandmother was Caroline Wolcott Balestier married to Joseph Neree Balestier. I go all the way back to the 1400's on my mother's mother's side of the family. If you need any information feel free to contact me. My email is tfisher14@gmail.com

Thank you for the info

Dan Merkle #16943166
Dan is the son of Dorothy C. Merkle-Elbel. Her obituary shows she is also buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bethany. I do not find a memorial for her under Merkle or Elbel.
Since I don’t know which last name is on her stone, and since you already maintain her son’s memorial, would you like to create a memorial for her? Here is the link to her obituary: http://m.thedailynewsonline.com/mobile/article_7fb44f68-aeef-11e2-9dfc-001a4bcf887a.html
I was looking for another Elbel when I found Dorothy.
Thanks.
