Thank you for putting up a memorial to my sister and turning it over to me. She is to be buried later at Arlington Cemetery next to her second husband Albert Chandler Hause some time later this spring I would guess. No date set yet.

|Becki (Polk) Pavlik||RE: Alva Polk|
I can't remember whether I ever responded to your question about 'Alva' Polk or not. This was my grandfather Sampson Tenor Polk, born 9/3/1907. Alva apparently was a nickname for him, for on the 1920 census he is listed in the household of his father as 'A/Sampson Polk'.
|Virginia (Ingram) Crawford||Ruth G. Shaffer|
Ruth G. Shaffer was was buried on Feb. 1, 1927 in Sec 43 Lot 35. She does not have a marker. In this same section there are two other Shaffers buried: David E. Shaffer was buried on Dec. 3, 1928 in Lot 34 and David D. Shaffer, Sr. David Sr died Jan.10, 1983 and was buried Jan. 13, 1983 also in Lot 34. There seems to maybe be a discrepency in the records with the middle initial since they were both buried in the same lot...I don't know. There is only one Shaffer with a marker and that is David Sr. I have unloaded a marker for him. Hope this helps.
|Jennifer Lawrence||Sloan & Parker Family|
I just linked my memorial for Isabelle Crosier Parker Sloan with your memorial for her father John Snow Parker. I have no idea where the mother is buried or when she died. Also wanted to let you know that David Austin Sloan 1876-1939 is the brother of William James Sloan husband of Isabelle. Brothers married sisters. I saw that you have a memorial for Clara Loretta Parker Sloan, you could link them if you want. Just an FYI Clara's name is Clara Edith Parker Sloan. I think you may have confused her with my great-Grandmother Clara Loretta Sloan Kellerman who was Clara E.(Parker) Sloan's neice. David & William's father was Benjamin Sloan (buried at East Unity Cemetery in Cherry Valley, PA) his memorial is on findagrave. There mother was Mary Brandon Sloan Rieser (abt.1840-8/25/1922) I have not found her grave yet. She is not buried with Benjamin. She may be buried with her 2nd husband Nehemiah Rieser in the other Clintonville Cemetery which is the Presbyterian. I plan to go there soon to look for her. I'll let you know.
|Jennifer Lawrence||RE: The Sloan's|
Sorry I just saw this, I haven't been on findagrave in along time. Isabelle Crosier Parker is my GG-Grandmother. How are you related. It's nice to actually hear from some one related to that part of my family. I've finally tracked down most of her siblings, John Snow Parker and his wife Catherine Crosier moved back and forth between Ohio & Pa, so some kids are born in Ohio and some in PA. Quite a few of them died as children. Are you on ancestry.com? We could share info if you are interested. email me at email@example.com. I've been trying to research further back on my Parker side. I'm back to David Parker 1802-1872 he is the father of John Snow Parker father of Isabella. Look forward to hearing from you.
