"We were talking about what it was like to spend one's childhood in little towns like these, buried in wheat and corn, under stimulating extremes of climate: burning summers when the world lies green and billowy beneath a brilliant sky, when one is fairly stifled in vegetation, in the color and smell of strong weeds and heavy harvests; blustery winters with little snow, when the whole country is stripped bare and gray as sheet-iron. We agreed that no one who had not grown up in a little prairie town could know anything about it."|

According to my records, Elda Harader (10/8/1873 - 8/26/1874) was the child of Samuel Harader and Ann Elizabeth Dawson.
For some reason, maybe in error, my database shows Elda as a daughter who was born and died in Washington Township, Adams County, Iowa.
Samuel Harader is a distant cousin.
Are you related to Haraders?

Thank you so much for snapping the photos of John and Mary Stern and their son Charles markers.
I know I would never get to Iowa and am very appreciative of your taking the time to fulfill my request.

I'm headed out to Iowa in August. There is a reunion planned, so I should be able to get some more photos taken of some of our families.
|Tom Jennings||RE: Foland|
You are most welcome. Your contributions have done so much for my research, I'm glad to return the favor, in some small way.
|Glenn Fleming||RE: Thank you!|
As always you are very welcome.As I am transplanted to Cass County and not related to anyone other than my immediate family it is refreshing to see those that are from the area interested in their ancestry.I have a friend who was born in Atlantic and lived here his whole life and could give a hoot about his ancestry.I wish my ancestry was this close.Lol.

You are right. Myrtle is the daughter of Joseph & Paulina.
I tried to correct i but I think I might have messed up some other records.
I am 93 years old & sometimes I am not quite sure what I am doing on a computer.
Think I will delete Myrtle & add her again with correct parents.
|Jacki Klawonn||RE: Transfers|
Thanks so very much for the transfers but you forgot to transfer Dorothea Stender.
What I have really been waiting for is the transfer of my mom and dad and you have no control over those two transfers.
Sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Always a tough time.
