Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am honored to be a member of this great community. My hope is that the memorials that I maintain will inspire a sense of pride in those who have gone before us. I would like for everyone who is remembered here to be accurately portrayed for posterity to understand who they were.

If you have information, documents or photos that would help to shed further light on the individuals memorialized here, I would love to hear from you. Likewise, if you have questions about the information I have provided, I will be delighted to answer them for you.

If I manage a memorial that is your direct ancestor and not mine, I will be happy to transfer management of their memorial(s) to your care.

RE: Jens & Anna Langlie
The first one had a lot of glare as I was there when the sun was just at the wrong angle. I think this one is easier to read.

James Walker
There is a marriage bond/license for James Walker and Elizabeth Ann Elliott in Caswell County, North Caroling dated 21 Nov 1781..

Were you able to access the Guilford County records?

RE: Alce Walker Hadley #19175955
The following was sent to me by a cousin:
James Walker died August 12, 1831 in Guilford County, North Carolina. There are several entries in the Guilford County deed books that detail the division of his land in settlement of his estate. His wife Elizabeth Walker received a farm she held in dower and several other heirs received 40-50 acres each. The heirs were Simon Hadley and his wife, Alice,John Moser and his wife, Charity. Susannah Field (married Jeremiah Field), Robert Walker, Lewis Walker and the Heirs of Rebecca Jones (not sure who she married).
There is also a copy of a power of attorney drawn up in Morgan County, Indiana and forwarded to the probate court in Guilford County, in which Simon and Alice Hadley give power of attorney to Alfred Hadley to act as their agent in the sale of their share of the James Walker land. They sold it to Alice's sister, Susanna Fields. Later, when Elizabeth died in 1841, her dower land was divided between the same heirs.- jan
