Bio and Links
Bio Photo San Diego has some of the best Find a Grave contributors who are doing an amazing job of documenting our local cemeteries. If you need a grave photo there is no shortage photo volunteers. If you are looking for an obituary, cemetery information or advice we have volunteers happy to help you.
If you are new to Find a Grave and want to start contributing in the San Diego area please read the FAQs or reach out to someone with your questions.

Please always do a search before creating a new memorial

Links, Corrections and additional information
Please use the edit tab and I will be happy to make corrections, add links and additional information. Do not leave information you want added on this page.

Note: Abstracted lists (such as census, death index, etc.) should be formulated into complete sentences prior to submitting for addition to the bio.
Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio". Please don't send these type of bios because they will not be added.

This is Find-a-Grave, we find graves, so please, if the memorial doesn't have a grave photo, request one prior to asking for a transfer.
I'm pretty liberal when it comes to transfers, however too many times I have transferred and nothing is added or changed. So if you want a transfer, please:
1. Post any family photos (if you have them)
2. Provide me with family links and biographical information you wish to add to the memorial.
3. Tell me your exact relationship

I will not make a transfer if you create excessive memorials with unknown burial locations.

Please be a Find a Grave contributor, not just a collector of someone else's work

✔ PLEASE NOTE!!! Do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate.

Pixley/Oswin family
Hello. Thank you for creating a memorial for my family members. Morrison Frank Pixley 113825164 was my great-grandfather, and Nella Vida Pixley 113825169 was my great-grandmother.

Aristine (Pixley) Oswin 113825185 was their daughter, and Henry H. Oswin 155433692 was her husband. (I created the memorial for Henry H. Oswin today.)

I respectfully ask that you update their family relationships on your memorials, or that you transfer them to me. Let me know if you need any authentication from me.

Best regards,
Lois Pixley Rosewood

RE: Philip Fulghum
Thank you. I would like to take care of his memorial page. I have a Rootsweb page dedicated to the Torpedo Squadron Eight members who were killed at Midway ( and research on their families, but I've expanded it to try and include all 176 US military air crew personnel who died during the battle. Although PO Fulghum didn't die at Midway he certainly was one of its heroes.

Warm regards,

RE: Victoria
Her husband, Harry Tassell, is buried at Dearborn in the the family plot, as is his first wife, Anna.

Let me talk to her granddaughter about coming up with a memorial for her.

Hi there!
I see you have Rev, Edwin S. Chase. # 112303501
I believe this may be Edwin, son of James A ( 25519138 ) and Mary Gooch Hopper(25519142) Chase. His siblings there in California were Edgar and Ephraim. His sisters stayed in East Machias area, Lucy. Eliza and Jessie. He was born in East Machias.

RE: Philip Cline
Hi -- thanks much for transferring this over. Appreciated.

I think the only Adams photos I have are also from Gerald. But I'll double-check. "Gary" is a first cousin ... we spent many hours as kids playing on Grandma Cline-Adams farm in eastern Colorado.

Yes, I'm also a nutty liberal Californian. :<)

Hi "Cousin" --

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thanks very much for creating these pages.

I would like to take you up on your offer for taking over these pages. Let me know if there's anything I need to do, as I'm a newbie.

I'm in San Jose, but most of Alta's descendants live in Colorado. Nice to hear that one side of the family made it to glorious San Diego!

Thanks again.

RE: Victoria Tassell Michels
Lott was her maiden name and Tassell her first married name. She is most remembered and loved as Tassell.
