My belief is that family members, however distant, make the most caring managers of memorials.

I WELCOME all corrections, and with a few exceptions, I am happy to transfer any of the memorials I have created - on to those who have a relationship, or historical interest.

My own ancestors, family, friends, most local memorials, and special history interests, I do maintain in my care, with various exceptions to this, too.

RE: Joseph McNaughton
I will be out of town until the 29th, so you could wait awhile if you'd like. I can post it when I get back on my computer.

RE: Orleans Cemetery
Thank you. I have a few hundred more "in the can" but the internet connection where I am staying is slow for the uploading- so when I get back home I'll add those. If you have another target up North here, just let me hear . . .

Memorial Visits
Hello Georgia, good to hear from you and I hope you know it is my pleasure to visit your memorials. You make them seem like we have known them. I am off on another family quest so I will visit as often as I can . I send you and yours blessings for a wonderful fall.
Bless you, Darlene

There are three stones in the Ingraham block that have first names only. I live in Waitsburg so went to check if the city had more detail. There was a letter to the clerk in 2002 offering corrections.

I have a copy of the letter and have scanned it. It appears to be from a person that has done a fair amount of research on Ancestry.

I don't see quite how to attach it here. My regular e-mail is and I would be happy to share that letter.

RE: Baird
I'm not related to the Baird's so I don't need her transferred to me. What I'm trying to do is to identify everyone who is buried in the Haseville Cemetery and when possible connect them to their parents and/or spouses. I have a large database that includes most of Linn County and it includes identification of source information on many of them. I was able to get a copy of the Haseville cemetery records and it lists her with both Calihan and Baird as last names. Her tombstone apparently lists her as Baird as a couple that canvased the cemetery in the late 80's show her name only as Essie Baird. So I was trying to figure out which was the correct way to list her.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Annie Bridges
John H.(Henry Bridges seems to have vanished into thin air after the 1920 census! I have searched (online) the newspapers, cemeteries, census, California Death Index, etc., all to no avail. John is not a direct ancestor, my connection is only through his marriage to Annie. John and Annie did not have any children together. John had children from a previous marriage. I am in contact with one of his direct descendants and they also have not been able to find anything about him after 1920. The search goes on. :)

RE: Bridges family
Hi Georgia,
I found a passport from 1924 for John Hewston Bridges on FamilySearch which gives his middle name as Hewston. The passport also lists his birthdate, his father's name, the date of his marriage to Minnie, where they lived, and a photo of he and Minnie (2nd page of passport) which he signed John Hewston Bridges. Hope this helps.

RE: Family First

You are so kind!

Thank you so much for taking time to send me the information! I finally have my g grandparents, and parents, I was lucky enough to be able to add my grandparents myself. Would love to have my godparents, but ... I'm somewhat mollified that they are linked to parents and siblings.

Best wishes,
judy aka High Plains :)

RE: another Melvina
She was born in Rowan County, KY. There were many, many Rameys there during the 19th century.
