RE: Hiram Elliott
Thanks, Scott. I knew they lived in Tompkins but hadn't been able to figure out what happened with them. Dutch

Done and done. Now all you have to do is tell me what happened with Hiram and Elizabeth's son, Hiram Branch Elliott, born 1862, Dutch

Robert Abbott's Parents
Find-A-Grave states that Maurice Abbott (1565-1642) was the father of Robert Abbott. This Maurice, Lord Mayor of London in 1638, had 2 wives--Joan Austen and Margaret Barnes--and 10 children. Bartholomew and Maurice apparently died before 1630; an Anne also died young. The other 7--George, a second Maurice, Edward, Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary & Martha--all participated in the funeral of their uncle, Archbishop George Abbott, in 1633 and apparently never left England.
The records I've seen have no mention of a son Robert. I think he's listed on as a son because of people accepting that as fact; are you aware of any records that do indicate that Robert was a son of Sir Maurice Abbott?

RE: Braden Brothers
Hi Scott, It is a good thought but, I have no info on either parent, only what I have found on their sons Civil War or Death records.

I added the other Benedicts in the Walnut Hill Cemeteries (i.e. Cedar Lawn, Memorial Park & Walnut Hill) which are co-located. The graves are scattered with only Clifford and Hazel being together. Do you have any interest in any of them? I don't know who else may be buried beside Lemuel and Sarah as I have not been in the cemetery due to the weather and snow cover. I may try to visit this weekend to see.

Cornelia Sanford
I did not find the two Scotts. However, I did find something interesting. Cornelia is buried between L. S. Benedict and Sarah Benedict. I created memorials and will transfer if you want them. #125155487 and 125155535.

Cornelia Sanford
It makes my day when I can accomplish this. Cornelia is the only Sanford in the four cemeteries that make up Walnut Hill Cemeteries. When I see markers such as this, I am concerned at the condition of the marker and I do not want this information to be lost. I knew that someone somewhere loved her very much and someone would one day look for her. I wanted them to find her. It's why I am a findagrave volunteer. Enjoy.
