Thank you for the info about Marjorie Denison a few months back. Thanks to my page, I was able to track down relatives, she is alive and well, and the page has been removed by me. Just thought you'd like to know. Cheers - Brad

RE: Margaret Dorothy Jones
I appreciate the concern, but I have to say I don't agree with Find A Grave's statement on this. In the wider world of genealogy, not just here, a person's maiden name and birth name is understood to be basically the one and the same (not taking into account adoptions or other extenuating circumstances). "Jones" is the name she was born with, and it never changed. If I were to put it in the Last Name slot, then it looks as though it had actually been her married name. This could cause others to go on a fruitless search for her maiden name, not realizing she wasn't actually married (I have updated her bio to reflect this).

I've been doing this genealogy thing for a long time, and I am a very conscientious and detail-oriented person. As a result, I am careful to be as accurate as possible, which is also why I made the decision about this the way I did. :-)

Margaret Dorothy Jones
Hi Priscilla,

I received your correction suggestion regarding Margaret, and thank you for contacting me with it.

You are correct in that she didn't marry, and I already have her surname of "Jones" in the maiden name slot, which is the correct slot for it to be in. As she didn't marry, she retained her maiden name. :-)

I have updated her page with your other corrections.

Thank you,

~ Chrissy

I forgot to add that my email address is on my profile if you would like to provide any info on Clarissa and her family. She has been a tough one to trace.

Hi Priscilla:

I saw that an edit came through from you for the above-mentioned person, but it was a 'no change' edit. Did you mean to add or modify information? If so, please re-submit.

Also, let me know if you are related to this person. I am not, I just photographed and catalogued the whole cemetery, that is all.

I just saw your email.
