|I have been doing family history research since completing a cub scout merit badge over 30 years ago. As a teen, I began walking and cycling through area cemeteries, noting familiar surnames and wondering if they were related. In high school, I helped a friend's grandmother work on her family history, as she had trouble reading what she had typed. This was "old school" genealogy - collecting and trading books, writing letters to genealogy societies, and contacting various relatives by telephone and mail. Times have changed!|
I am also a licensed Amateur Radio operator. Licensed as KA9HTW in 1980 (Novice), upgrading to Advanced class in the spring of 1981. Later upgraded to Extra class, changing my call to WQ9T. I work as a journeyman electrician, and am a member of IBEW local 34, Peoria, for over 25 years. Former member UFCW. I have been married for over 22 years, with two children.

I am matching Job McDaniel through autosomal DNA results. I am matching Vivien Elizabeth McDaniel Mastin/ Vermillion Emery McDaniel (1858 - 1935)/ Job McDaniel (1825 - 1893)/ Job McDaniel 1788 Maryland died 1872. I have read online that Job McDaniel the elder is the son of William McDaniel son of Redman McDaniel son of James McDaniel and Rebecca Redman Frederick Co.,Maryland.
I have also matched James McDaniel and Rebecca Redman's son Joseph McDaniel of Bedford Co.,Pa., and Elizabeth (McDaniel) Becraft daughter, wife of George Becraft.
Me/ Stephen A McDaniel/Thomas Wayne McDaniel/Charles Lovejoy McDaniel/Milton C McDaniel/ Daniel C McDaniel/ Randolph "Randle" McDaniel born March 1755 Frederick Co.,MD., died 1840 Hamilton Co.,Ill., I am somehow related to James McDaniel and Rebecca Redman as my DNA matches show. I have a photo of my Grandfather Thomas Wayne McDaniel and his brothers taken 1895 Atchison Co.,KS this is where Job McDaniel the elder died 1872.

Thank you so much. I searched and searched with no luck till I saw your post. I truly do appreciate you. If not for people like you so many of us would have to go without knowing who our family members were.
Thanks for the correction -- must've been a typo.

I have seen some of your meassage's about George Key being a child of William and Rachel.Have you been able to find who has their Bible. Dora Wiley Key had told who the children were but I am trying to find my Nancy Key's parents that I believe are William and Rachel's also but no proof.

Richard Clark-creator/contributor of my grandmother's site= this is my second message to you in as many months. Effie was my maternal grandmother, I have asked you to relinquish your role in this memorial, so that I may add accurate and additional information regarding my grandmother. I don't understand why you have not responded. I do not want my grandmother to be remembered by inadequate information, especially because, others will search for her in the future. It is important to me that the information is correct. Please remove yourself Thank you, Rebecca Sweeney-Lowe, proud granddaughter

I am not able to link her to Walter Bland or her mother. Children can be linked to mother, father, spouse; parents can't be linked to their children. You'll need to contact whoever maintains her page. Sorry.

Dear Mr. Richard S. Clark, Mrs. Effie Lacock was my maternal grandmother. Thank you for recording some information on her site, however there is much that is missing. She did not have 5 children, she had 8 of her own and 6 stepchildren. There is other info that needs to be corrected. The newspaper obit that is posted is also incorrect. I have a more in depth obit for my Grandma, along with a 400 page Family Heritage book that was written/produced and published by my Aunt in the 1970's. I would appreciate it if you could relinquish or whatever you want to call it, your creative control, and let me edit it with additional information. If you need to reach me, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you, Mr. Clark. Rebecca Sweeney-Lowe
