Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a thirty-something female who works in a local doctor's office as a front desk personnel. I live in Great Falls, MT with my mom, little sister, and two cute pooches. I've always found cemeteries relaxing and a great place to visit or learn an area's history. I've enjoyed adding to the local cemeteries here in town on FAG and enjoy fulfilling requests. If there is a correction that needs to be made on any memorial I manage, just let me know. I may not be the fastest individual to process those edits, but they ultimately get done. Or if you're just looking to chat about cemeteries in general, I'm open as well. :)

Henry Head and Elizabeth Head Tucker Head
Sarah, are you somehow related to Henry Head. His wife Elizabeth Head Tucker Head is my gg-grandmother. If you are related, do you know anything abouther? When she was married to Albert Tucker she had a daughter named Alamantha Tucker Bradley Middlebrook. b June 3rd 1887 d Nov. 25 1925. She's not listed as a daughter of Elizabeth though. Alamantha married my great grandfather Charles Stephen Middlebrook in Feb 1896 in Fairfield County Conn. Would like to hear back from you...Regards, Andre Middlebrook

Hi Sarah! Thanks for the updates to Emma's memorial! I wanted to check and see if you are in any way related to her? I'd be happy to transfer her memorial to your care if you are… I'm not connected at all. Just let me know! Blessings, Dana

Lorena Spaulding
Would you please add the following to her bio:

The Havre Daily News, June 14, 1968

It is not very often that we are privileged to hear one of our early residents as they reminisced about their childhood days, but in this story of Fort Assinniboine we are very fortunate to hear a few words from Lorena Spaulding of her days in Fort Assinniboine during the 1890's.
Lorena Spaulding was a student in the Havre High School during 1908 to 1910. There are many Havre residents here today who can remember Miss Spaulding. She was a good musician and was in many of the piano recitals in the city during that time.
She said she could hear the tine music of the Army musicians as they played for the big parades on Saturdays. She made her last visit to Fort Assinniboine on Aug. 9, 1959. Miss Spaulding said that her father, Samuel Spaulding, was a civilian barber who cut hair and trimmed beards for the officers at the fort. Her mother was a cook for the officers mess.
The Spaulding family moved to Havre so Miss Spaulding and her two sisters could attend school. Her father continued in the barber business in Havre and also filed on a homestead about five miles west of Havre on the north side of Highway No. 2 opposite the viaduct over the GN. You will recall that there are still a number of log buildings on the ground.
Miss Spaulding makes her home In Spokane, Wash.
She said that she remembered many limes when her mother would send a telegram to St. Paul to order a barrel of chickens for a party the officers planned. She said she could remember the many fine dances held in the fort during those early years.
I have mentioned that at one time there were 800 soldiers stationed at the fort and Miss Spaulding bears me out in saying that it was a busy place. She came with her parents from Fort Buford to Montana when only a small child, remembering the stone quarters for officers extended for about a mile. (Many will remember the tower on one of the buildings still).

Good Job
It is wonderful to see someone so young taking an interest in cemeteries and put info on this website. It helps us who are relatives to find some info about our relatives.
You have done a great job!

Thanks,
Georgiana
