Family history is something that has become very important to me in the last few years. Working on my family tree has become somewhat of an obsession lately. I can't bear the thought of my ancestors fading into the past, so I honor their memories here. Thanks for everyone else here who does the same!
I hear ethereal whispers, persuasive,
soft and still, "Daughter, if you don't
remember us, who will ?"

Tony: HI! Thanks for the nice message.
We have had numerous people go to cemeteries just as soon as they see a new photo request (but the decedent isn't ever buried yet! (One would think they would look at the info on the memorial--not so. Then, we get nasty e-mails saying that we should have let them know the decedant's memorial was not inscribed yet!
As for "waiting" until a certain time to put in the request--that won't work either. We put in about 37 memorials a week, and we would need a computer to keep up with when all the photo requests should be fulfilled.....
Then again, if we do "not" put in any of the requests when we notice a photo is missing (or we enter a new one in the system), it may be "years" before somebody notices there is no photo and puts one in.
Until F/G improves their tool, all we can do is put that nice little message in there:
"Suggest waiting until April 2016 to take photo, so memorial can be inscribed and installed."
Having done some 25-30 cemeteries now, I can assure you there are about 15-30% of the memorial without photos, and many will never get them.
Thanks again for writing.

Sending you thanks, not only from myself but also the children of Bob & Phyllis, for the fulfillment of my photo request. I hope my directions made this journey somewhat easy for you to find them? The Cissne's were dear friends and they are missed by all that knew & loved them. It's nice to be able to honor their memory, with your help on Find A Grave. All my best Greypaws

How very kind of you to write and ask. I am the originator of the memorial page, but not the person who entered the photos. Click on the name under the photo and it will take you to their page. You need to ask them for their permission since they 'own' the photos. Blessings~

You're very welcome, We're glad to help. Just for my information did you like having an aerial shot to show the grave location. Just don't know if to do that all the time, don't know if it's needed. Thank you.
