Oh I had no idea! Thanks for sharing that with me. If you ever change your mind and want the memorials just let me know. Thanks for being so kind! Pat

Oh thanks for the kind words Lucy - I am so glad what I did is helpful. Many of the memorials I have done and photos, no one has yet been looking for, so it thrills me when they do. I would be glad to give all memorials (except my own family) to their rightful families and friends. I love Ireland and Scotland, but I have to ask what is an "Orangeman"?
You are so right, there are way too many individuals on the site who are in it for the numbers, and don't put this on my memorial, or that, or I will delete this or that - really?
Anyway, thank you again for the nice message - It would make me very happy to transfer your Allens to you, all that I have. Just say the word. Obviously John Allen must have been a pretty awesome fellow -by the description of his accomplishments and that of his sons. I also did memorials for his daughter-in-law and grandchildren at Greenville - so sad, they lost so many children, would be happy to give those to you as well. Let me know :) Pat

Hi Lucy - I saw your token for your ggrandfather - I have no relation to him; would you like to have his memorial transferred to you? I think it's best to be in a family members' hands - so if you would like his or any of your other relatives that I did memorials for at Otterbein, please just let me know. I would be glad to do it. Pat

Also, Thank you so much for doing such a nice job on Lorenzo's memorial. Yesterday, I went through and found all of his children that I could locate and asked that they be linked to his memorial, so far we are up to 3. I'm very excited to see them all together.
Yesterday was also the first time that I realized that Ella's brother John was killed in the Civil War. I haven't been able to find any information about where he might be buried. The military records I could find list his name as Seibert and that he was wounded in the head but apparently alright at Gettysburg and then went missing at Spotsylvania on 12 May 1864. Let me know if you have any info on that front.

Oh Lucy, I'm so happy to meet you. Ella and Magnus Cease are my 3rd Great Grandparents. My Great Grandfather died 2 years before I was born. He was originally Horatio DeWitt Hewitt but changed his name to Harvey Horatio Hewitt. He was the son of Luella Woodward Cease and George Steven Hewitt. Harvey's wife Lydia, my great grandmother was alive until I was about 12 years old and would travel from her home in San Antonio, TX to my grandmother's home in MD every summer because she said TX was too hot for her. My grandmother is Eleanor Lula Hewitt Metzger and she is still with us! I'm supposed to have lunch with her on Sunday. My father is Paul Metzger and I am Amy Lynn Metzger Hunt. My 4 year old daughter is named for my Great Grandmother and is Lydia Anduin Hunt. Are you in the Staunton area? I live in Gettysburg. I am hoping to visit the Staunton area sometime, perhaps this spring or summer but it's hard to get away with 2 young kids and a full time job! I found something yesterday that I was really excited about maybe you've already seen it.
They are a collection of letters belonging to Ella's sister Mary Anna "Mollie" Sibert and one of them is from Ella. The website says they don't know who Ella is but you and I do!
Thanks so much for you message!
