I am the author of the 400+ page book "Odom Oracle" covering 6 generations, from about 1815-post WWI years, of the Odom family from Middle Tennessee westward. Many of my contributions to Findagrave have been related to this book and the over 3000 family members mentioned therein. I have posted vitals directly from either death certificates or pictures of tombstones. I also wrote a true crime book in 2010 based on a 1916 murder in Tennessee, "Murder on Fodderstack Knob". |
For the last several years I have been working with a historical society in Tennessee on their area military veterans. In addition to my own family gravesites I have also added many of the men and families that are included in the veteran listings I am writing biographies about.
My husband and I live in Osceola County, Florida.

hello. my mom was a jewell. she and my dad have spoken of this family. some from just genealogy research, but maybe some from my moms memory. moms grandfather was james, the oldest of the 10 children. oakley was near the bottom. turney was at the bottom maybe. i never met turney. but i met his wife marie when i was a young girl back in the 1970s. my grandfather was jacob/jake jewell b. 1906. maybe ill get to read your book one day. dad had gotten into genealogy as he got older. i wish i had known more relatives throughout life. :) and anything with a "knob" name sounds interesting. i have loved the Christy book and film series the past few decades........robyn

I noticed that you uploaded him to the valley cemetery in Manchester, NH, he isn't a resident there, he is in Pine Grove Cemetery per the Cemetery office, he was only stored in the Valley Tomb during the winter.
It would be appreciated if you would remove him from the Valley for accuracy and historic purposes, should you have any questions please contact me and thank you for understanding

Thank you so much for the info on John Riley Neal. The correction has been made. Diane Pemerton Knight
I believe that according to find a grave rules they are suppose to be moved to Mt. Juliet, otherwise there will/may be duplicates made there. I almost added them to Mt. Juliet and then searched on one of the names and found them in the Russell Cemetery. RJM may have set up the cemetery. I will probably hear from him. He is always good to work with suggestions. The Russell Cemetery is probably under water and cannot be found. I do have the Mt. Juliet Cemetery Records and they are in the book so that is where they are buried now. When graves are moved most contributors state that they were moved from XX Cemetery # _ in ____ Co and re-interred in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens due to construction of Percy Priest Lake or something like that. MHN

I have ask Cally to delete the memorial that she made and add the photo to yours. She is really nice to work with and I think she will probably do it.
