Live here in Wabash Indiana. Retired early after 21 years of managing two bank branches. Got tired of the rat race, so quit, got a couple tatoos, and am staying home enjoying my hobbies...my dogs, gardening, sewing, painting, and cemeteries.|
I started out just looking for my ancestors, and in not being able to find them all, decided I could at least help others to find theirs here in Wabash County, Indiana.
There are now several of us in Wabash County on Find A Grave working together. Our goal is to put bios on all of our pioneer families, to honor all of our service men and women, and to get families linked together.
If any of us has put on your loved one, please know it is out of respect. These are our family, friends, and neighbors.
PLEASE feel free to use my photos or info in your family tree. It was put on for you.
Please read Find A Grave FAQs
*Especially about unknown burials*
This is a GRAVE registry site. To make your family tree I highly recommend joining Ancestry.com.
FIND A GRAVE RULE OF THUMB...IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHERE THEY ARE BURIED...DO NOT CREATE A MEMORIAL.
I will not do any links to unknown burials nor will I transfer (out of family guidelines) to a member that has created too many unknown burials.

|Jim Davis||fyi - Valentino|
Valentino had no final burial arrangements and his friend June Mathis offered a crypt she had purchased (for the husband she had since divorced) in what she thought would be a temporary solution. However, she died the following year and Valentino remained in the adjoining crypt. The two are still interred side by side in adjoining crypts at the Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery (now the Hollywood Forever Cemetery) in Hollywood, California.
(with Dora and William as their upper neighbors!)
|Jim Davis||William Diether|
William Diether happens to be interred directly above Rudolph Valentino (yes, that Valentino). Would you like me to include Valentino's crypt in the photo of William and Dora's crypts? I've already posted Francis's photos. Jim

Well, it's all ridiculous and I'm not a numbers person or memorial monger. What I do love, love, love though, is your photo of Ruby.

Hopefully I have fixed the Bio in a respectful manner. This was one of my earlier, first Find A Grave family plots -- difficult gray stone -- lots of transcription of inscriptions. There's a poem there somewhere. I will always remember this plot. Thank you for your contributions and suggested corrections.

Just an update, I see another Contributor added the photo (two years before the memorial was created, according to the caption, but with no source). Maybe a couple of memorials have gotten merged, considering Earle's name is now Earle Earle. Find A Grave is now just as unreliable as Ancestry, and I definitely don't consider, or even look at, Ancestry as a source. Too much monkey business on both sites. The sad thing is that one bad familial link, and I'm not saying there is a bad familial link here, but just saying that one mistake on Ancestry is IMPOSSIBLE to correct. It all just trickles down -- wrong.
I see your new message, thank you, and I will fix the memorial, but am sending this anyway.

Hi there, I received your request to add Earle's very interesting obituary. Thank you very much. I was at his memorial within the last day or so after I received your SAC, before the obit. was added that is appearing there now somehow, which is fine (but how does that happen outside the 30-day window?). I was going to ask you if you transcribed the obituary, and to check his age date of 30 that you submitted before I added his obit., but it looks like the age has been correctly submitted now. Wondered if it was a stone inscription mistake or otherwise. Mysterious. Great photo addition. Loretta
