Falls Cemetery is privately owned and was platted in 1861. It has expanded and grown to 67 acres situated on a beautiful, rolling hills landscape. Hundreds of pioneer and founding family members are interred, including those from the Hanna Cemetery relocated in 1907. Honored interred veterans include over 330 from the Civil War, plus hundreds from the War of 1812, Mexican-American and Spanish-American Wars, World Wars I and II, Korean conflict, Viet Nam and subsequent wars.|
The Friends of Falls Cemetery was organized in August 2009 consisting of Wabash area residents who are largely descendants of the 13,000+ souls interred. It was officially sanctioned and its work approved and encouraged by the Wabash Cemetery Society, Inc. board of directors on November 17, 2009.
It is our goal to accurately and respectfully document the lives and relationships of those interred in Falls Cemetery. We further strive to present them in the best possible manner with biographies, histories and obituaries whenever possible, and will include plot locations and attractive tombstone photography. Additions and corrections to these memorials are welcome as are new participants in our group. Upon request, we will gladly transfer memorials to family members, and will give consideration to out-of-guideline relationships. Existing FindAGrave memorials may be (temporarily) transferred to us for research and photography.

|D R Hutchison||Ezekiel Reed|
Dear Friends of Falls Cemetery,
I am researching Ezekiel Reed, my second Great Grandfather, who is buried in Reed Cemetery in Wabash County. In Find A Grave, I see that your cemetery association has included a photo or sketch of him. I have attached this to my family tree and would like to know its source, ie. where did you obtain it? If from a family member, how can I contact that person to collaborate further? If from a book, I would like to know the title and publication information so that I can document it properly.
I appreciate any help you can offer. Looking forward to hearing from you,
Debbie Reed Hutchison

Thank you for your reply. I do know that the Hipskind's also lived in the house at 560 N Wabash. However, researching the home with the county land records/deeds it list the Hess's as owners purchasing the home on 2/3/1900 from Howard and Alice Atkinson. The Hipskind's purchased the home March, 4, 1956 from Thomas and Dorothy Winklejohn. I also found the Hess's listed at this address in the census. I am familiar with the house you posted as Richard Ford lived there we purchased 560 from Mr Ford, thus the research. Is it possible that the Hess's owned the property but did not live here? But then why would it be listed as their residence in the census?

The house you have posted for Alexander Hess is incorrect, it is actually the house two doors down 560 N Wabash Street.

Thank you very much for changing her information. Her name was Hazel Gertrude Wyer Alberson if you want to fix her name. Thank you for all your work and help. Gary.

Thank you soooooo much for taking the time and effort to discover that Joel's grave is unmarked. We appreciate knowing this information!

I found a better(more clear) newspaper print obit for her; unsure of whether I should post it since yours was already there. Let me know if you would like me to remove it.

Jessie was the daughter of George W. Gunter (memorial # 52711977) and Jessie L. Rhodes (memorial # 33520874). Her mother died when she was just 7 months old. The 1900 census shows her the adopted daughter of her grandmother Sarah (Chamness) Rhodes.

Great photo that you put on her memorial.
