You are most welcome! It was a lovely afternoon for snapping a photo. A thunderstorm was brewing and the sky was overcast so there were no shadows on the stone.
I noticed there wasn't any information about where the Hallmarks were born or how they wound up in Yreka. I am always curious about the lives of the people who reside in our cemetery.

I will check with the City and into the death date that's on the headstone. Maybe the headstone was made with the wrong date on it - oops!

I'm not sure the headstone pictured goes with this entry of Charlotte R. Sherwood (my great-grandmother.) She passed away in January 1940 (not 1944) as stated at the top of the entry, and I also have a copy of her funeral services that are dated January 1940. Maybe the picture can be verified or redacted?
Thanks for all you do!

Thank you for the name. We will add him to our list. It is not required they be on Find A Grave, just served in the military, peace or war time.
Again, please let others know of this project. The more people that know about it, the more complete our list will be.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
