I will not be on the site daily--illness in the family. This is but a hobby--my family comes first.
I have been dealing with health issues for many years, and I am always playing "catch up." I try and do the best I can. If I post a photo to one of your memorials, and you are not satisfied, feel free to submit a photo request and wait for another graver to fill it.
REMEMBER: Just because a picture is on the Internet doesn't mean you are entitled to it!
Also, when requesting transfers, submitting corrections, etc., please use the EDIT tab in the upper right hand corner of the memorial. That way, I get all the links and can do them easily. If requesting a transfer, PLEASE state the relationship to the person you are requesting. I am related to many of the people for whom I created memorials, and I need to know this. Also, do not post correction or transfer requests on my page here--I probably won't see them, as I get many messages a day--and the EDIT tab is the correct procedure to use. Thanks in advance.
Please visit the memorial for my brother-in-law, who passed away suddenly on January 21, 2011 at the age of 54:
Thank you for your kindness.

|j wyke||To cheer you up/peek your interest|
Good evening Lady in Black
here is one that will peak your interest.
Esther Ann Farmer Taylor aka Tayler
I believe that it was a typing error .
Esthers' father was John Farmer the famous map make in Detroit. Her brother was Silas Farmer and we all know who he was. They are linked together here. But she is here at Woodmere and so is her husband.
By the way Silas was doing part of the Hamilton/Barnes genealogy . He sent for information on two of his great-granfathers and there are notations in the margins of the orginal Rev.War papers. "Copies sent to Silas Farmer Detroit Mi."
So I thought this might peak your interest,as I'm a history nut on Detroit also.
Hope you feel better
have a good evening
Judy in MI

HI: I haven't been online for 6 weeks, so I'm just catching up. I took care of Hattie and Patrick Drouillard. I added some information and linked them. Thanks...

|Mirene||RE: Schaarschmidt family @ Woodmere in Detroit|
Yes, Hugo is my Grandfather and Florence Schaarschmidt is my grandmother. Charles is my uncle. There also is another stone nearby for Rev Hugo Schaarschmidt and his family. I really would like to have control of these members of the family. Thanks

|Jeffrey Carney||Henry Wittenberg Memorial|
Thank you Lady in Black for posting this picture of my great-great grandfather and mother's memorial. It was a real asset in helping figure out whether he went by Heinrich or Henry. I have seen this head stone many times as my great grandfather and mother are buried not far away, Frank C Wittenberg and Mabel A Wittenberg.
Thank you again for posting this, it was a real thrill to find it.
You said that you are related to many of the memorials that you photograph, are you by any chance related to Henry Wittenberg?
|Sarah Burridge||George T. Burridge|
Thank you so much for the pictures of the gravesite for my paternal great-grandfather, George T. Burridge. My Aunt Ann and Uncle Dick (George's grandchildren) and my cousin Janet made the trip to Woodmere a couple of years ago, but even with a map, missed finding the grave. I very much appreciate being able to see the stones are still standing.
Thank you for taking the time to record this. Your work is truly appreciated.
Hello Lady in Black,
I don't know why you chose to photograph this gravesite but it is my great-grandfather's. I am so pleased to see that it is visible and intact! I have not been able to be visit the cemetery in many years and it is surprisingly comforting to see this photo of his gravestone. Thank you for your work!

|Linda H||Ida Buckius|
Many thanks for transferring Ida's memorial to me. I've been researching the Buckius/Bockius family for years. When I find new information about Ida, I'll add it to her memorial. Linda H
